How comfy is the Busa?

I just sold my ST1300 and had a Repsol CBR1000RR before that, do y'all figure the Busa would be somewhere in the midle of these two for comfort? My '09 silver should be here soon...
I have had several sports bikes and a ST 1300. How tall are you? I am short at 5'9'' and the Hayabusa fits me perfectly for four to five hundred mile days with out risers. Some change out the seats, touring windshields, add risers and lower the pegs. In all honesty, I would not want to tour on a Hayabusa with out risers but that is my choice.

you'll love it. i put on tobin seat and buell pegs and the fit is perfect. i was going to get heli bars but once i put the tobin seat on the reach to the bars was perfect so i didnt bother

Made this trip in August on my 08. 4,000 miles 10 days.
could have stayed out longer, wife said "get home"

It's a couch. People don't believe it. Then they hop on mine & ride it.

It's simply an issue of setting it up for you personally. Make it yours.

And welcome to the madness.

Everytime I get on mine, this is what I feel like.

Well, I'm 6'1" with a 32" inseam so I'm all torso with long arms. As long as she doesn't rake me over like the CBR I should be fine, thanks for all the help fellas! Nice forum y'all have here by the way, totally different than the RC51 and CBR1000RR forums that I was on when I had those bikes, folks seem a whole buch more "grown up" here, me likey!

Welcome, I think you will be very happy with your new bike. Cant wait to see it.

Imagine sitting in your favorite chair as you gaze upon your favorite show on TV your feet up with a nice pair of warm fuzzy socks and a nice cool beverage in your hand while your wife / girlfriend or both run their hands through your hair ( if you have any ) a cool soothing breeze from a ceiling fan as you gently doze off to sleep, NOW IMAGINE THAT CHAIR DOING 190 MPH.

:welcome::welcome::welcome:

Now that's a little too biased, right there. Except for the 190 that sounds a lot like the HD:welcome:

I think you will be happy with your decision. The busa is comfy and you can find alot of good touring info over at

i will suggest steel brake lines and a throttle meister.

I have both a 2007 st1300 and a 2009 Busa. I ride back and forth from Oklahoma city to Kansas City regularly on both bikes. In truth, the st1300 is a bit more comfortable but the Busa is a lot more fun. I put a touring windshield on the Busa with is about six inches taller than the stock windshield. I can tuck in behind that fairing and fly. The last trip I rode a long way with a BMW 1300 sport touring bike hanging back a few miles. We moved across that 335 miles in a little over three hours. I seemed as comfortable as he was and I could leave him for dead anytime I wanted. That brings up an issue. Any really good radar/laser detectors out there. I hate to think what a ticket would look like at the speeds we were moving. I should grow up I know. But at 55 I am not sure I am going to be getting much more mature.

I'm 6' 175 lardazz, and a REALLY old fart at 69&5months. Busa tot cumfartable. much more than (s'cuse me) a Z14. Lotta subjectivitooties there, I guess.

Busa can't hold a candle to the ergos of an ST. BUT(T), the Repsol cant touch the Busa ergos.... 3-500 mile days are not a problem. Now I dont agree with iron butt rides with the Busa. Can you do it? YEs, but unless you are a midget - it aint gonna be a cakewalk like an ST. Nor will it totally cripple you like a true sportbike.

Welcome.
