How did you arrive at your Username ?

When I sat down to make my account, none of the usernames I use for anything else seemed to fit, so I sat here tapping my fingers and getting nowhere for a while, and wound up starting in on my initials (DL), and there ya have it. Sorry its not exciting, but heck, this is what happens when creativity runs away right when I need it :p

P.S. 2 things I found funny in this thread: The Number of people who posted explanations twice, and the number of people who'd obviously had their names changed after writing the post, as the explanation had NOTHING to do with the name

P.P.S. How is this thread not stickied somewhere? there's some really cool "meet the group" info in here...

I received mine while on a detachment to Fallon, NV. I was in a casino one night playing the nickel slots and won something like $350. I've always carried the name Slim, so my buddy just added the Nickel because of the winnings. So, here I am 10 years later....SlimNickel. I think it's better than "Thin Dime".

I have used this name for a long time... Used to race alot
When street racing was still big, kinda grow out of that though. Now the name has just stuck, still entertain interesting cars (not riding) and got 3 trophies for club NHRA events. All in my cars, can't stay consistent on bikes lol (gotta get the launch down)

Well I am a hydraulic mech and I also built a couple cars and trucks with air suspension and installed 10 switch boxes on them and I was always really in to slammin vehicles so Flippnswitchez came along

Im only 5'9 165, pretty small by most standards for this bike, the busa was the biggest sport bike when it come out, so I guess its pretty cut and dry lol

When I started playing football at the age of 7 my dad told me that all great athletes have great nicknames, so we came up with MOOSE. It's stuck with me since then, more people know me by MOOSE than they do my actual name. So fuse MOOSE with BUSA and you get The MOOSA

Im 6'2, and i WAS over 300 pounds, and alot of my friends and coworkers would call me
Biggin, that one didnt bother me, It was my first job at Steel City Oldsmobile when they
named me FatDaddy Camshaft, I didnt care for that one......lol

ma·li·cious/məˈliSHəs/
Adjective: Characterized by malice; intending or intended to do harm
general policy in most things i do in every day life and just an awesome word... probably my second favorite next to Defenestration

I gotta admit, mines a bit on the boring side....

my nickname is bazman....and most mates that do or have ever ridden with me say that I ride like a maniac (I totally dispute that unsubstanciated claim, officer ), so my s/name is merely an extension of my n/name, ie: bazman-iac. A touch on the boring side....but it fits, and suits me juz fine!

I don't recall posting on this thread...so here goes:

I love racing bicycles. My first real race bike was a Klein Quantum Race. I tried to set up a yahoo email address "quantumrace" but yahoo didn't like the word 'race' so I just played around with the name a little. I miss that old bike, but I am currently on a Klein Q Pro, so I feel like the screen name is still legit.

Here's a pic racing in the 2008 Climb to Kaiser. 155 miles, 14,000 feet of climbing. BRUTAL stuff!

I always liked Klein bikes.

Until they were chewed up and spat out by Trek, that is. :banghead:

Been riding and racing Downhill mountain bikes for 12 years. as a kid my forum name for everything was konaDHbiker. People used to always call me Konad, and it stuck.

I haven't ridden a Kona in a long time.
