How does a Jackshaft HOLD-UP?

A challenge LOL!!! Big fatty's are not for the Drag strip bro they are for Smoking and parking lot pimps :rofl::rofl::rofl:

There you go:poke: thats the reason for running it at the track. Out to break all the bad fat tire myths.:laugh: IF I wanted to ONLY run the 1/4...then yes I would still be rolling a 200 tire. I found the mix of style and performance that fits my needs and built it, and USE IT.:beerchug:

Ok... here are the pics of my jacksaft setup... The only thing that appears to be the same is the double sprocket...

It all looks the same in design. Your adjustments have 100% surrounded support..like stock axle setup. Mine .. the axle shaft of the jackshaft is support by the arm itself and we both have the same all thread adjustment set up . Just because yout adjustment axle nut is pocketed in the arm, mine is not, does not make it any stornger. The pull of power on bearings is to the rear and all that keeps the jackshaft axle there is the all thread adjustment....just like the rear axle adjustment.

Shop just called saying they have the new C&S bearings, "wow..wait till you see these things, big diff and much stonger looking". They also made me 2 new spacers for the jackshaft. Picking the jachshaft section up tonight, the MULLET will be up and running by the weekend.

The MULLET is all back together.:thumbsup: WOW those bearings do look to be much heavier made. Look like it only going to be mid 50's tomorrow.....BUT sunny. Going to see how these hold up:whistle:

good chinese bearings :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

can't tell you how many "good chinese bearings" are sent to where I work DAILY to be repaired and how bad tolerance specs on them are.

and imho, the second jackshaft setup is tons beefier than the first. Flex is most likely the culprit to why the bearings failed.

and for the record, this is what I call a bearing:

49" in Outer diameter (2200 lbs assembled))....it is a medium sized unit.

Some of our larger units go in draw bridges, ships and heavy construction and military applications.
