How many fingers do you use for the clutch/brake?

I use all 4 but see a lot of racers with just one finger on each. Is that all they use or do they use more when needed.
I have tried with 2 fingers for the clutch...not happening. Braking yes. Maybe I'm just a weak *ss....:laugh:All stock levers and what not.

It's situational for me. Most of the time, it's either 1 or 2 for the clutch. Everything comes with practice and repetition.

Clutch: all fingers all the time.
Normal breaking 2 fingers
OMG BREAKING all fingers

i've seen rossi use all 4

when i used to teach (msf) i used to push for 4

usually 2 and 2 with either Pazzos or other aftermarket levers...

as cheesy as it sounds my msf instructor told me 10 years ago, 4 to go, 4 to slow, for whatever reason has stuck with me all these years. Only time i dont use 4 on the brakes is if i'm sitting at a light to keep it from rolling

I always use one, maybe two fingers on the brake and two fingers on the clutch. OMG braking is all 4.

sometimes 2 even though 1 is almost always enough with the Pazzo shorties

So if you start of braking with 2 fingers and determine it is a OMG braking how do you make the transition? I'm guessing you have to let off with the two current fingers to allow you to get the lever with all 4 fingers increasing your total stopping distance. Why not use all 4 all the time?

My pinky almost never gets involved on either side...Like drinking a cup of tea!

Relaxed, two and one not relaxed two and two. Even though I can lock it up with one two seems to give a bit more controle on the front brake.

???

I really don't know and now I am scared to look, because perhaps then I will do it different from all the years I have been riding.

2 on the brake and 4 on the clutch. For some reason the clutch lever just doesn't feel the same with 2 fingers, hits my other fingers because you don't have the resistance feedback like the brake.
