So if you start of braking with 2 fingers and determine it is a OMG braking how do you make the transition? I'm guessing you have to let off with the two current fingers to allow you to get the lever with all 4 fingers increasing your total stopping distance. Why not use all 4 all the time?

Took the MSF in 05 learned all 4 all the time and to cover them in traffic. Evolved to 2 finger clutch and brake all the time. THEN I took the sport bike riders class in 09. The instructors showed us to use 2 finger brake/throttle and to cover them while rolling on the throttle. THEN they went into emergency braking.
Instructors rode an fjr the other a tiger. We all had 1k's and 600's..
They bet us 1 hour of riding drills that not a single one of us could stop shorter then them. With both wheels on the ground and not locking the rear. We all got 2 tries, 2nd gear 30-35mph, all brake, shift to first, left foot down. There was a guy on a zx10 stopped the shortest from the students.
Instructors came 2 tries each they both topped us 7 to 15 feet. And then we ran emergency braking drills for 2 hours.. vise an hour.

Those fjr's are freaking nice.

Side note to all org-sters: practice emergency breaking. We all test the bikes Limits with speed. But how many of us test the bikes(stock) ability to stop?
