Oil prices are high because (as stated earlier) it is a global market. Gas gets sold in huge blocks on the open market in speculation. Now we are paying the price for peoples investments. Everyone was protesting this "War for Oil" but as you see, the price isn't going down the longer we are here. It is changing based on market trends. Oil companies posting HUGE profits.

The fight was in Afghanistan, and when George Tenet located Osama Bin Ladin just weeks after September 11th, it was Cheney who denied Tenet's request for ground support to stop Bin Ladin from crossing into Pakistan. That's where the real victory was ours for the taking ... not in some story to go after Iraq's dictator.

The rest of the world knows half of the Americans are a bunch of whiney, spineless whimps and all they have to do is wait and sooner or later the snivelers will have us tuck our tail and run.

The bottom line is THEY are at war with us, no matter what we say. We can turn the other cheek and ingore them, but THEY are still looking to grind us into oblivion.

A US Prez has very little influence on oil prices. It's a world market. We are getting pinched at the pump because of 25 years of failed energy policy. Even if we had all the oil we wanted we still lack the refinery capacity to cut the gas price significantly. Why? See paragraph #2. It's the same whimps that are against drilling and building refineries. It's naive to think that our enviromently friendly, solar powered tanks and planes will stand a chance against China's fossil fueled military.

Time to wake up folks! Quit worring about your Starbucks and being green and realize we ain't as safe as we would like to pretend.

Very well said. There are more players since NAFTA and the WTA in force now. We made India and China very wealthy. The drive cars now. The Clinton years.

The attacks on the WTC would not of happened had Clinton payed attention. We had him, he did nothing. Was to busy explaining his dealings with Monica and the inquiry against him. (basically lieing his azz off, again)

ABC did a documentary two years ago explaining this blunder. The Clinton machine had it suppressed and to this day not even available on DVD. It will be on the radio talk shows (a few) on 91108. Simply amazing.

I feel this was the main reason Hillary was not chosen. The Clinton's have to much dirty laundry while in the White House. Obama would have constant explaining to do.

The Clinton Administration had him for the taking two or three times and passed. (before the towers were dropped)
