I am going to have to punch a Harley guy soon

Now since I have had the busa, I noticed how attitudes changed from when I was riding my CBR 600. Without fail, all of the derogotory comments have come from male Harley riders.

I had another one this past weekend and frankly, I am pretty fed up with it. When the coment was said, I was already on the bike and slowly on the move. I actually stopped the bike and stared at the dude in my mirror, but I had been standing having a bite to eat and checking my map and it was about 30 C and sweat was rolling down my back.

( I ride full gear, no matter what)Then I kept going....and I am mad at myself for not getting off and confronting the jerk. I DID have a comment 2 weeks ago at a local meet and I wasn't sure which idiot said it and I had just pulled up and I said out loud" Which one of you said that?"

There was a silence and someone said" Uh, he just left" No one had left and I said" Which one of you with the slow bike said that"?

Silence......

I would really like to support all people who choose to ride motorcycles, no matter what kind of bike it is, really I would, but from experience, unfortunatly, I have a hate on for Harley riders. Way to often I see a shocking lack of riding skill, obnoxious loud pipes, usually coupled with stereos blaring( like this weekend,my friend and I were at a lakeside cafe and we had to stop talking when 4 Harleys rode up wirh each pipe louder than the next and radios full blast, while it took them 4 trys to back the bike into a parking spot,BTW, you don't need to have the bike running when you are backing it in) and an attitude that if you don't ride a Harley, it's not worth riding.

Now I understand that the best bike in the world is the one you are currently riding, but, I am happy to just tell people who want to know, that I love my bike, extoll its virtues, and leave it at that.

There are to many idiots out there playing dress-up bad-azz on the weekends with no riding skills,no idea how to handle a bike, how to observe the rules of the road, and disgusting attitudes towards other riders.

So Mr. Badd-Azz Harley guy, whoever the lucky guy is, I will prolly unleash a vitriol upon you when you make your " comment" about me and my bike, and it is always tethered to something about a female riding a busa...

EFF YOU.....

Now, please ,mount your POS bike, helmetless and gearless and skilless, and let Darwinism do it's work.....

oh let em have their say they are just jealous of the almighty Busa, actually those kind of guys that say that stuff are just small minded and shouldn't be allowed to ride anything but a tricycle, don't pay'em any attention its not worth it

Lighten up Gurley

Almost 50% of the bikes sold in the US are Harleys and even in Japan, over 600cc, Harleys sell the most. So, unfortunately you are stuck with them.

Remind me to freewheel past you at the stop, engine switched off when on my Harley and out of fear say nothing and pretend I did not see you.

I thought you would have gotten more crappy on the 600.

I ride with a Harley, he has his Harley pride (I would two for 20k) but he respects my bike for what it is. I don't hang out where the "typical" harleys hang out for reason. I will wave and if they don't wave back.. oh well, probably won't see him again anyhow.. on to the next curve. life is to short to worrie what others think of you.

plus I know everyone thinks I'm cool anyways!!

its just ah motorcycle, get a grip
Well said!!! Too many riders on all brands base their ego and self worth on what their riding......pretty weak imo. Its just a bike, a tool to have fun on. If a bike "makes" a person they have some serious issues. There's WAY more important things than bikes.
And to the op, stay away from Harley riders because you're always going to get that shid

Anger Management is your friend.
Your not gonna change anything except your arrest record if ya go punch every idiot out.
You know and they definately know what they are trying to poke fun at. Be with it and the next clown that has something to say, laugh and move on.

I wouldn't give 'em a second thought...take the high road, be nice to 'em, kill 'em with kindness, change the game plan on 'em and shock the hell out of 'em

Walk away knowing you were the better person

It's a lot less stressful :beerchug:

i understand your frustration with the "dress up" wanna be a tough outlaw on the weekend harley rider. however please be careful before popping off tho. if you run across a "real deal" harley rider you may be in for more than you bargined for.

People with those comments aren't worth acknowledging. Don't get so hung up on it. There are enough friendly folks on the road, lots of them on Harleys. I had a guy tell me over the weekend that he stopped riding his old Kawi 800 because "bikes like this one started showing up. Everybody's always trying to one-up each other." WTF does that even mean? I ride a few different bikes because I enjoy them and the different ride characteristics they offer. I don't really care what the guy or gal parked next to me is on as long as he or she is enjoying it without running into me.

He did say he only hated one thing about my busa, then kicked my saddlebag. We had a talk about that.

Sigh..... ???

That is exactly what my mother would have said.

Im with ya...no need for the stupid comments...at minimum be a MANand respect a WOMAN..just goes to show you how little their minds are sweetie..pay them no mind dear and in solidarity I say

Eff 'em too...you're an Org sister now...they hate YOU they hate ME...:rulez:

"Hey nice harley, my dad rode one of those before he got a job"

Carry a bag of candy to hand out and compliment their Halloween costume.

Hey, I try to be cool about it, but they approch me,I don't go looking for it. I would never walk up to someone and say something disparaging about thier bike or thier gender, yet they seem to do it on a regular basis without a second thought.

Would they do the same if I was a bigger gal? Dunno....It's true, I am venting big time, but for the guys out there, this doesn't happen to you,now does it? Sure, you have had the odd one who comes up and slams the busa but is the comment attached with a personal attack concerning your gender?

If you havent been there, then it's easy for you to say" Lighten up"

Ok, I wouldn't REALLY punch them ,but I WISH I could.....

Must be all those Canadian Harley guys. Come ride this side of the border, we all cool here.

I tell them "I will race you anytime your up to it, I will even start off in second gear and never shift to another gear. I can ride farther than you on a tank of gas, I will get there faster than you, and I can stop quicker than you. Any takers?" That was when my bike was stock. Now a days, I would not even need to get into a single pound of boost on the turbo to beat a harley.

In actuality I don't have problems with any rider and I go to poker runs and Harley bars and saloons. I give everyone respect and karma takes care of me. If I run into an attitude I would simply leave, no worries, not ever.

Befriend the obnoxious Harley rider, drink him under the table and then bang his old lady.

cheers
ken

Punch him in the face  It will most likely or somewhat hinder him from saying any other derogatory comments to anyone else in the future :beerchug:

PS, just make sure all your legal areas are covered so you dont get jailed...
