I got a call from my sister at 6am this past Wed. My father, who ls 93, and lives by himself in southern Ga., was walking his two dogs in the evening before bed, had a heart attack and passed out in the yard. He was found the next morning with his dogs standing guard over him. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Upon hearing this, I left Kansas City 20 min later with a 1000 mile trip ahead of me. I have been at the hospital since late Wed night. He is stable now and we are hoping for the best. He is a tuff ol bird. Went through the D day invasion at Omaha beach, the battle of the bulge, and after joining up with Gen Patton, advanced into the heart of Germany to end the war. He has lived a long life, but I pray he will stay with us awhile longer. Just wanted to let all of my pals know why I have not logged on.

Prayers for you and your family Hal... Give those dogs an extra dogbone tonight...

He and you family will be in our prayers, Hal.
