I have questions, maybe you have answers. George Floyd & Karma

Meanwhile the Wendy's where this guy happened to be apprehended, who played no part in this, gets burned to the ground. Man that will sure help Wendy's make some decision to build a restraunt in the wrong part of town.
Thats todays justice/protest at its best. People have now lost their jobs.Owner now lose's money and gets a giant hassle.Etc Etc.
Didn't you watch the video? The poor guy was treated so harshly by those cops. I guess they should have said "please, pretty please."
Protest this... protest that... burn everything down.
It's the right thing to do.
Meh....

Like I said no easy answers. If you obey officers, don't fight them, take their weapons you will not get SHOT!
Nicely put.
Circle gets the square.

Yeah we have to show support for BLM.

Here is a example of one of their leaders way to solve their problems.

"Alternative Viewpoints" have no place in society right now.Everybody is on the edge of their seats waiting to be offended, waiting for the cops to make a mistake, waiting for something to spray paint, burn or protest.
The average common sense approach to anything will not be tollerated.
It's cool to mad at everything right now, weather its good or bad.
Burn everything.

Just an alternative view considering all that’s been going on, the man wasn’t observed driving except under the request of the police to drive 20 feet and park his car. He had obviously fallen asleep and was in no condition to drive. After failing his FST, and having no real life driving observations like weaving, speeding, reckless driving or causing an accident, at most he was guilty of a very minor DUI, a misdemeanor. I know it can’t be done in all cases and people do need to learn not to drive while under the influence but, all things considered, the cops could’ve called someone to come and get him. His FST was filmed and he could’ve been given a notice to appear for DUI. Beats the hell out of shooting him in the back as he ran away.

He broke the law. Here's where it gets good. People are asked nicely,as he was to turn around and let the cuffs be put on. It has happened to ME. I did not resist, fight, grab the cops taser, taser him, attempt to flee or any of that. I said "thank you sir":D as he put his hand on my head to put me in the car. I was home in an' hour. I was charged but found not guilty. :D
Does anyboby...anybody at all,see the difference?
Yup they could have given him a ride home. They could play taxi to the drunk...just skip policing for a while. Or they could have called his Mommy, waited for Mommy to come pick up the guy who just blew over the limit. All these laws are meant to be broken anyway right.
My life was changed DRAMATICALLY in 2006. A driver who blew over the limit rear ended me. 7 discs in my back. My foot. My hand.Shoulder.Elbow. My ribs. All fugged. 5 months in the hospital in a brain injury re-hab clinic.
Sure....lets just change the drunk driving laws.
Drunk driving good idea/bad idea.
Fight an' arrest on the spot/or in court.
Burn down the resturant. Not the arsonist's fault. Peaceful protest.

Agree with most things he prob had guy move his car to save it from being towed. The cops were polite and nice to this guy. I have never heard of not being arrested for DUI maybe that could change. But I bet people would drink and drive more.

The one part that is bull poop Is how people word things. Like shot him in the back as he runs away. Conveniently leave out the part of him pointing a weapon at the cop. But who would riot over that.

It seems likely it was a Wendy's employee that reported the sleeping guy in the car. If you call the cops, better make sure its on a white person.

I dunno 08...
.
Just let the criminals go,hope to catch them later?
Cops carry guns and tasers(some of them) now they have to carry a weapon with rubber bullits too.Maybe they could carry some chocolate bars and candy too. That way they could try and coax the crims into the car.
Change the DUI laws? Sure, just abolish them all together.
Just lie and say not under arrest, just detained. So what yer saying is the cop didn't sugar coat it enuff.
More cops at the scene. Good idea. Send 3 or 4 cops to every "Man asleep in drive thru" call.
Crim made THE CHOICE. Could have got 2-3 hrs in lock up and a desk appearence or judge in the morning. INSTEAD he chose STUPID.
This is not a BLM thing. Its not anything but stupid. The cops arrest thousands every year. I'm not positive, but I don't think most people decide to resist, fight, assault, remove cops weapon, attack, attempt to flee, etc.
Sugar coat it,twist it,turn it...cry boo hoo.
The average person would have been out in less than 24 hours.

The guy made a several dumbass moves right in a row. It all snowballed like dumass moves often do. There was no reason to fight or run unless he had a record and I see no info stating that he did. If you're always afraid of the cops, then I don't know. For starters, don't get drunk and fall asleep at Wendy's.

If it's not a BLM thing, it's a protest thing. People protested it and they protested it violently. No there was nothing else the cop could have done except let the guy go. The guy did not look like a very fast runner, maybe he could have been overtaken by the cop and get shot with the remaining cartridge in the taser? Why should cops risk their life to do their work any more than they already do? They are not required to put themselves in harm's way even though they might in order to uphold the law.

There’s pictures of the suspect who allegedly started the Wendy’s fire, I’m waiting to see how that plays out (it’s a white female)

Like the white girl who tried to firebomb the cop car with four cops in it. Fortunately she wasn't smart enough to use a better fuse or avoid being filmed by the many people standing around with cell phones. Stupidity knows no color.

She should be convicted of Arson but it seems like prosecutors are letting most of these people go.
The jails would be overflowing. That's a problem solved by ankle bracelets. Five years in prison or 10 years with an ankle bracelet.

Perhaps a Go Fund Me page for her legal fee's.

It's happened as posted previously. It will happen again because people refuse to believe these are crimes.

All you need to do is have your keys in the ignition. I think that was discussed here a few pages ago. Yes it would have been nice to call a cab for him but since they didn't and they arrested him instead (like when I got busted for driving without insurance), the guy could have had enough sense to go peacefully and be released in a few hours for $25 (like I was). Instead, he shoots twice at the cops with a taser and ends up dead over it. It's not the police's fault the guy stole a weapon and used it against them as he fled. It's not the cop's responsibility to outrun the guy so they can shoot him in the front. You run, of course you get shot in the back. You're dead either way. That's what happens when you run from the police after you have committed multiple felonies against them.

So then he thought to himself - I will fight them, steal one of their weapons and shoot it at them. Then they wont kill me...wow.

It's sad that it happened and it probably could have been handled many different ways -
  • Let him go they had is ID, address and car. Get him later and add many charges.
  • Use a non deadly weapon - they tried the taser. Rubber bullets?
  • Change the drunk driving laws
  • Told him they had to just detain him before telling him he was under arrest.
  • More police at the scene? They already had two.
  • No easy answers aside from being a Monday morning quarterback.
Ok I agree the dude did some stupid things. But watch that video and that cop was pissed that the dude through him off like a girl and took his taser and decided to kill the suspect. Nobody even mentions he fired his weapon in a crowded area with civilians all around when he was not in a life or death scenario. All that when you know every cop in the country is being told to keep the gun in the holster every morning! Going to be fun hearing the excuses for this one.
