It just doesn't stop | In the News

I'm curious how you expected to wake an economy up from a COVID coma and not have inflation. You're stuck on silly talking points like immigration. This country was built on immigration and a part of your high food prices is because a lot of the people who pick that food for nothing are stuck...

I sure don't know what kind of a world people in the west will live in once the upcoming generations get into positions of authority and take over....

Either the woke of the western world will take over or there will be a revolution of some sort...

We see all the protests happening in the west for various reasons yet many other deplorable things are taking place with zero repercussions or discussion...

We take a look at what the Taliban are doing to their women, many of which were born and grew up with all the same freedoms as western women and are now oppressed....no protests for them or even any discussion...

Hundreds of thousands of people world-wide held as slaves and trafficked and not a word.....

Gay and lesbians fought and got their freedoms and rights only to have the alphabet people pile on demanding more and more, so much so that many gay and lesbian people are distancing themselves from them.....

Stop oil people want all use of fossil fuels to cease by 2030......we all know that will never, ever happen yet there they are destroying priceless works of art and generally pissing off people....but only in the west, I have yet to see these stop oil people protest int he largest polluters in China, Bangladesh, Taiwan, India or Pakistan...

We do hear lots about climate change and now it is depicted as a "crisis" the real crisis out there are the amount of addicts and homeless people....this is a real crisis with no end in sight........

Cancel culture is alive and functioning well.........even childhood cartoons such as the Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner show and Flintstones were cancelled yet some of these cartoons on tv these days are downright either disgusting or incredibly violent.....my grandkids wanted to watch a particular cartoon and throughout the episode one of the characters was actively trying to get into the pants of another character and it wasn't like Shrek where the adult version was made to go over the heads of kids, this dialogue was easy for the kids to pick up on.....

.....................yet dropping an anvil is bad.....I'd like to see a kid try to pick up an anvil to drop it anywhere......

Even through all that, there are still bright, shiny rock stars out there but they are few and far between these days.

Between John Wick and Dead Pool movies it's hard to determine which is more violent, cruel, bloody and repulsive for the graphic blood and mutilations shown to the audience's. Cancel culture is political correctness on steroids. As we lose the culture we once had the morality and ethics goes out the window as everything gets dehumanized.

Plenty of people are fed up with what is country has turned into with the lawlessness of the US Federal government.

One of the classiest rock groups to ever make it big was Earth Wind and Fire. They felt a powerful desire to keep their music pure and clean. Due to the standards in all areas of life they set for themselves the product that was their music always contained a message that was meant to be truthful and uplifting and devoid of any toxic messaging that could be considered to be in poor taste. A few of the DJs on XM radio have back stories they tell about the behind the scenes activities and meeting that took place back in that time period.

I was referring to Saturday morning cartoons more than movies.....some of these modern kids cartoons are chocked full of violence and sexual innuendo.....

The term "rock star" I was using wasn't pointed towards actual rock stars.....but rather above average youth....

As for Rock Bands.....Led Zeppelin had the longest running hit of all time with Stairway to Heaven....

All the good bands came out of the '60s and '70s.....

Now we are either stuck with bubblegum singers or remakes.....

On other news......here in my province schools are banning cell phones in the class rooms.....I say good luck with that, now teachers have to enforce this rule, so we know it will be all over the place. hopefully their parents get on board and help enforce this.....but I doubt it.

What's the penalty? To be sent to the principal's office....I can just see the fear on the kid's faces now.....LOL!

I remember listening to KMET and KLOS in Los Angeles and I'm pretty sure they played some of Earth, Wind and Fire's big hits, but that doesn't classify them as a rock band, it just shows rock stations could be a little diversified. E,W&F's music is definitely more jazz/rhythm and bluesy. Great stuff.

I must be obsolete as I think when it is very foggy, people should have their lights on.....

Like most modern vehicles my pick up has auto lights and normally I have them set but in a day like this morning I manually turned on my headlights.....crazy that so many didn't........often times you couldn't see them until they were right on you.....

Suppressor, or gun silencer | Random Thoughts

Anyone ever go through the motions of getting a suppressor? Wow, that is quite a procedure and so I have just learnt. Not sure if it is about the $200 taxes, or something else, the red tape is unbelievable, including the documents we need in possession when the popo sees the suppressed firearm.
