I need help

All you'd need is a set of web/yosh cams and a good remap... If gearing and rider size is similar... that's all you'd need to beat the guy on the 12r.

You've got to understand... the 12r is in a MUCH higher state of tune than the busa. It's got highlift cams, bigger valves, and way more compression... on top of this, it has over 1,000 rpm more and it holds peak power much futher than the Busa. Kawasaki did this to compensate for the lack of displacement...

Piped vs Piped, the 12R makes about 5-10rwhp more than the Busa and holds it almost to revlimiter without dropping off (thanks to the cams). It also have a much more efficient ram air system that generates more power much sooner than that of the Busa.

I'm sure you saw this when he started pulling on you more and more the faster you went.

The Busa is a fast bike, you just need to do more to it to get it to the same state of tune. As it stands, the Busa's 100cc displacement advantage is nulled by the 12R's high state of tune. Just apples to oranges.... Throw cams and HiComp pistons in the Busa and you're making 185rwhp... throw a BB kit on the 12R and you're making the same.

it isn't the cams for the pony increase on a piped 12, but nice try.

if the bikes are that closely matched then its the rider. u are probably in to low of an rpm or to high of a gear or a combination of things.

Johnny Cheese- I think you misunderstood my post. I was saying the cams help the 12r hold peak power in the high range due to the high lift in comparison to the Busa's milder cams.

It's the removal of that HUGE cat.on the stock 12r exhaust that makes the biggest difference on a piped 12r. The Hayabusa has a much less restrictive exhaust system than the 12r, hence the 10-15rwhp gains they achieve when piped in comparison to the 15-20rwhp gains on the 12r. But I'm sure you already know all this.
