:poke:

They really let you go after 8 hours even though you had a subdural hematoma? Was this in the ER or did a neurologist discharge you from an observation status? Take it easy man.

no point in harping on the "wearing gear" thing since you are well aware of that, but it's good to hear you made it out alive.

Ya, everyone of my friends are asking why did you not wear the helmet. Anyone who rides a bike enjoys the feeling of the air, same reason why people drive convertibles as well. I figured it was one of the last nights that I could get away with not wearing a helmet and not freezing. I was wearing my FXRG jacket, which held up like a champ. My pants, boots, and gloves all held up fine. No holes or anything. I will try to get some pictures of my head up soon.

Everyone also replies in a suprised manner asking, "You hit a SHEEP!?!?!? Where the hell did you hit a SHEEP at!?!?!"

Believe me your not the only one. Like I said in my previous post. A lot of people around here are getting a kick out of it once they find out i'm ok of course.... lol

Even the cop that was there said he wouldn't have believed i hit one untill he pulled the wool from my bike.

Yes, i'm starting to feel better. I still feel pressure where the sub-dermal hematoma is at, or where it was bleeding in my head, but it is slowly going away. Hopefully it continues to do so. Audio noises don't really bother me much anymore. It is more of the visual cues that give me sharp headaches. Bright lights, flashing multi-colored lights, computer screens if I look at it for more then a few minutes, all still give me a discomfort in my right away. I believe that is because the pressure is on the right side of my head, so hopefully as it goes away. My headache goes away. For the record, this is the longest going headache i've ever had. 16 days with a headache and still going. Good news is, is that it has gone from an average pain of about 6ish to roughly a 3-4ish on a constant basis.

They totalled the bike....:(

Now should i keep the bike and fix it or just get rid of it?

Depends on how bad the damage is. Im guessing you havent looked at the bike?

Dont fret yourself about not wearing gear. Things happen and you pay for them. No use in regret just learn from it in whichever way you do.

Tough deal man. But you got to wear a helmet minimum. The old adage spend the most you can afford on the helmet. Your cranium is the most important part. I don't mean to preach or nothing but I am constantly aware of how vulnerable we are as Bikers, and always ride fully kitted up. A recent low side in Germany brought home important PPE is to a Biker.

I guess Lamb doesnt need to tell you about the benefits of gear.

Pants did a good job? might want to rethink what leather pants you're wearing...

Boots did their job? might want to rethink what half calf riding boots you're wearing...

You're a good looking kid with a bright future, alive...might want to rethink this whole riding thing if you aren't serious about it.

You have been Lambed...lol!

Sorry to hear about your injuries and hope you heal quick!
