I Went Down Today

Wow it sounds like you went for a rough ride. Man I'm glad you are okay!! I just watched that video you posted earlier this morning and I love that paint job. Hey I got dibs on giving you my left fairing when insurance comes through for me. YOu can also have my left mirror. For free both of them. Pay the shipping and their yours!! Again I am very glad to hear your are in relatively good shape.

Always checking my mirrors after a section of curves to see where the guys was at.Got a real sick feeling coming off the last curve and didn't see anyone.

damn dude.. im so sorry about your buike but like everyone stated man your alive and well.

That's sickening. Sorry to hear it...but glad you were on top of your 'reaction'.

Your bike is gorgeous. I know that you feel the same about yours as I do about mine...it's like an extension of me. Tough to see anything wrong with it...especially this.

Take it easy, bro... All will be back to normal as soon as you will it to be.

Peace

Man sorry to hear... I went on about a 5 hour ride Sat and actually seen about the same thing happen to someone in a group of riders in front of me.. Great that you made it without to much damage...

Sorry to hear bro. Post up when you feel little better and can figure out exactly what you need. I'd be more then happy to send you anything I have laying. Glad to hear your ok though.

I never dreamed I would be on the other end of one of these posts. Reading all of your posts is extremely humbling. Being on this end, you truly do feel the love of this place. It feels like a dream. I keep waiting to wake up. I had to ride with my friends for another 3-4 hrs. thinking of nothing but what I've done. I have things I want to say to ea. of you guys. But to be vulnerbly honest....am teary eyed from a mixture of depression and happiness that some people that you have never met before, care about you and want to help you. This is nothing new to this special place. Being on this end of one of these posts I am fortunate to be on the recieving end of all this love. Everyone who has been here knows what I'm feeling. It's weird. You feel just depressed and numb till you hear the posts of your org. family. I totally did not plan on this post being more than one line. smile. Somehow you guys make it all feel a little better.

For now, thank you all for caring so much about me, who you've never even met.

Well I am home... Chris called and wanted me to post a few pics... (Guys I fricken hate posting crash pics as a rule, I have even worse watching them happen... A soon as Chris is at 100% I am kicking his ass....

This was a scary one... Big Ditch/Big Tree/ Big potential for serious crash...

The "ditch" such as it was, was about 2 1/2 feet below road grade and off camber.. He pretty much nosed straight into the wall of the ditch, changed direction with the ditch and rode the bike down the center for about 10 feet... Both he and the bike were pretty much airborn for about half the ride down the ditch.. Mind you, another 2 feet right, BIG ASS TREE... Would not have been good..

He exited the ditch back on to the road pretty much lowsided and slid about 15 feet and stopped... At this point my heart was stopped as well... I blocked the road with my bike as I had lost track if anyone was behind us at this point and got him off the roadway and his bike.. I remember hearing Waynes bike pull back up but for the life of me I can not tell you when..

Anyway.. the owner of the property came out and told me that this was only one of many wrecks right at this point.. He pointed to a tree stump that used to be a tree (car took it out) also this year he is on his second mail box.. So this is one of those corners with a rep...

I did not get a shot of his lid (but it killed a shield ala face plant) and his jacket is toast..

on the first image, the bike is coming at you... As we were in a bad spot, I did not travel down to where he left the road, just got the shots and we got out of the way...

Got to hand it to Chris, he is a trooper... We finished the ride today (about another 150 miles after crash)
