Illinois/iowa ride 3

Cool the list is getting bigger. Def not to late for anyone. 300 Ive raced at 41 for the last 10 years better then 66 if u just want to make run after run.
I like it better than 66. I wonder if I have ever seen you out there? Ever talked to a guy with an 03 LE that is stretched, lowered, bored out to 1397 with nos, and has a black tank bra?

No bro I dont think I met u 300 Ive never darg raced the Busa just my old Honda 929 and Ive raced Mustangs for the rest of the time. My best was 9.44 at 144 with a 1.44 60 ft. Im sure the Busa stretched is probably pretty close to that and u dont have to run 114 octane fuel like I did. But hay I did it on all motor. Ive had the Busa at track day Autobahn but thats it so far im kinda hooked on road racing.

I hope the weather is good! I am ready to ride. I think I have the wife convinced to stay home on this ride! What time are we talking about meeting there? I have my football draft at 11am, only take about an hour. I can haul butt up there afterwards. Or I can meet up with you guys somewhere.

I was suppose to go up to speedlimit cycles today for the bikini bike wash, but it is raining...looks like I have to take the car

Hopefully I will come home with a windscreen, oilfilter, spools, and grips....

So Oct. 1 is the date right?
Hal - Oct 1st is the Banquet 400 out at the Speedway.  You gonna be drivin' the pace car?

Yes I have been asked to drive the pace truck, but Mary will be in California visiting her mom and I have a hall pass for 10 days, so I may pass on the race this year and go spend some time with my son. Are you going to make the run if we are able to ride up, do the ride and return home like last time?

300 I was going to go to Speedlimit also but raining in Channahan but a bud of mine said Markham has been dry all day I was like damn never would have thought that. I was wondering too do we want to meet at Starved rock or ride up there together and meet somewhere. What is everyone else up for?

I went to speedlimit in my car, it was raining a little. Only about 4 bikes showed up. I came home and changed my oil. Then I used some Honda polish and cleaned it up, but being me I couldn't resist going a for a little ride.....now it is all dirty again from the damp roads.

I would like to meet up with you somewhere and ride up there. I can't leave my house until noon though, so it is up to you.

Thats fine if your coming up 80 I can meet u at the Minooka exit 122. There are also side rodes all the way up there also if u want to do that instead unless u have a better idea let me know but 12:00 leave on your part is fine with me.

Sounds good. There is a truckstop we can meet at there if I remember right.

U R correct we can take route 6 to 71 will be a nice ride because there is some construction on 80. 71 goes along river and 6 /71 both have some nice twists all the way into Starved Rock. Route 6 is about 3 miles once u exit 80. On the exit just head south to the Pilot truck stop on the right side of road u cant miss it. What time do u want to meet there. Oh by the way my cell#708-670-1380.Keith.

Alright, now I just have to decide which way is quicker for me to get to minooka. I have alway taken 55 but I heard there is construction there also. It is either I55 or I80 for me, just don't know which one. I am guessing it will take me an hour or so to get there.

weather permitting, I'm down for the Oct 1 ride. but I want to keep my travel time less than 3-4 hours one way. I won't ride at night on the way home

I was just up in Galena IL yesterday, let me tell you there are some awesome twisty roads there. Once away from town there is little to no traffic. The Stage coach trail is perfectly paved with no tar snakes. Right on the northern border of IA and IL. Lots of elevation changes and curves. Had my wife on the back and when we stopped she said she was going to puke:D

I found three great roads to fly on, about 30 miles of twisties on those 3 alone. Just an idea for Oct.1 It's about an hour west of Rockford IL
