I'm new....& Slightly disappointed

My 10 would wheelie also very easily ... I am a very experienced rider..hence my choice of the Busa... As I stated before.. I was expecting to be wowed.. So far I really like the Bike just not feeling the performance merits Hypersport description over SuperBike..... My buddy is getting a Ducati Multistrada 1200S ...Going to be interesting how we do against each other...

My buddies 10 is the only bike I wheelied without knowing it. The front hit the ground when i shifted, SURPRISE!!

I love those 10's, even got one visiting for the winter.

i was wowed right off the lot. :cheerleader: i though i knew what fast was:laugh: now it has a new definition = Bessie my flyin Hayabusa:rulez:
give it some time, it does alot of things well.

My friend has a 2008 zx10 full akro titanum exhaust, power commander v with secondary fuel mang. and autotune. i have a 2008 with two brothers SLIP-ONS, stock filter. And he cant touch me 1/4mile or topend. he apent 2800 bucks just to STILL be slower than a stock busa. the zx10 FEELS stronger because of the weight difference. put them side by side and my 550 pound busa is still stronger than ur 380 pound zx10

what i love about the hayabusa is its ability to hide how fast youre actually moving, my buddy rides a 06 gsxr 1k that i took for a spin and cruising on that at 100mph,it feels so much faster than the hayabusa at the same speed. Even on my zx-12r, 170mph would feel much faster than 187mph on my busa...its one fast pillow

150mph on a litrebike= roller coaster feel
150mph on a busa= boat in calm waters

i played with a zx10 on the hyw ,, he said he was in 4th,, i was still in 6th and we did a bout a 70mph roll out ,,,, i walked a way! and im running a 42t sprocket im down in the back by 1

so take it how you want , my bike has some mods and a nice tune putting out about 187 hp ,, but still if i was in 4th i would have just burned off on him

also i would say do the trottle tube mod !! basicly you put a r1 throttle tube on it , it has a diff cam set up and pull the cable gaster , kinda cheap quick throttle !!

i had the use of an 07zx10 while my 14 was down and i found the opposite, that the 10 was quite a disappointment.makes no power before 8000rpm.had a few rollon races with a modified zx12 and got smoked every time.only had the busa out for the weekend while i decided to buy it and i can say the 10 will lose to it and its a gen1.the 10 compared to the 14,slower,buzzier,more uncomfortable, and the front brakes suck compared to the 14,but then so does the busa.

I had to adjust to the ultra-smoothness of the busa too when I first got it. It felt too smooth. I was expecting a lot more violence in the acceleration. But its a VERY deceptive speed. I learned to pay more attention to my surroundings because the speed creeps up on you real sneaky like, not in your face like a high-strung, high revving lightweight liter bike. At least they WARN you about the speeds you're doing

agreed on the busa or 14 120mph feels like a walk in the park.on a litre bike the wind kinda wants to rip your head off your shoulders,so you feel like your flying but your not going anyfaster.

It's also to do with the torque curve. The busa seems to have a relatively flatish curve. Where as the zx10 has a steep curve. So you have the feeling of torque. They said the same about the LT1 camaros to the LS1 Camaro. The LT1 starts off lower and has a steep curve and you feel the acceleration more. But the LS1 starts higher and has more power under the curve too. The seat of the pants dyno gets fooled.

No I haven't wound it up yet......Didn't think I had too considering all the talk of torque... Undoubtedly more comfortable than the Zixxer but when you buy the "fastest" production bike in the world I guess I have high expectations for it..

Fastest and quickest are 2 different things. Take the Busa to the track, then tell us what you think.

This would be the first time I've ever heard someone say they were disappointed in a Hayabusa's straight line performance

I run a guy with a zx10 nearly everytime I go to the strip. He's got a pipe, pc, and couple teeth up in the rear bike goes low 10s high 9's on a hard launch. Iv'e keep up with him just lowered and strapped.
