InfiniteReality's Gen3 Build

I picked up the 2022 on Feb 4th used with 510 miles on the clock for $16.5k off sticker.

Just want it to be clear - IT looks like you said you got it 16.5k off sticker which would mean below
the sticker price? So you got it for 2-3K total? Did I not read that right?

Just random pics after first ride. Still need to play with the LCD menu, but reflectors are gone and already had a Yoshi tidy tail. I really don't like my plate that high up....see what I did there?

Of course I paid $2100 for it, cheapest in the country! :)

Reflectors, grab bar and stickers go day 1

It was late and too cold on day 1, so day reflectors and grab bar was removed. Sticker would have been but didn't feel like getting the heat gun out, still need to remove that sucker. Also removed the peg feelers. :)

Not an exciting update, but on a whim late last night I decided to model the top and side fairing bolts. I plan to use the models to make snap on bolt covers that I can 3D resin print and paint body color. Small effort to remove/cover up as much shiny stuff from the bike that I can

I also plan to model the seat bolt, windscreen bolt, tail bolt (aka where Gen1/2 Frankenstein bolts were), rearset bolts and I'm sure few others I'm not aware of yet. Depending on bolt location, it may get painted black.

Beauty caps are nothing special to look at, but will serve their purpose once painted.

Made a "customized" cover with the Gen3 updated logos. Having tons of Hayabusa lettering and Kanji's isn't my cup of tea, just wanted to make the caps more interesting to look at on this post.

Following. Get the popcorn.

Get 2 please, going to be a long 5-6 more weeks (assuming I'm lucky and ships when they estimate it). :)

I'm itching to get to work on it though, just glad it's cold currently so I don't mind waiting!

I have a set of QuickJacks I used on the SLC, I think while waiting I'm going to build a top for them so I can use them as motorcycle lift which should help my back, knees, etc while working on it. QJ makes an adapter for their lift, but $760 is WAY too much for what you get IMO.

Engine Ice purchased because solely because of ya'lls comments about the gen3 being more warm........and as soon as I noticed the same, I ordered some for when I install the header. So thank you!

When your doing the exhaust, take off the oil cooler and radiator. Both are easy to remove and reinstall. The only thing to watch out for is the o-rings on the oil cooler lines. You'll be happy you did.

thanks for the tip, that's my plan of attack. I recall fighting the Gen2 header install a little because I only loosened them back then. Possible yes, but like you said with it gone it'll make my life easier. :)

Just wish the dang thing would get here so I can feel like I've done something other than plan and look at parts, lol. I think there may be enough slack in the tail harness to install the Triple Play brake flasher, just hate to wire it in knowing when the tail gets removed I will redo it so it can be a hidden/clean install.

All that work for a stock restrictive muffler..

Don't forget money too, as well as done on x3 bikes. Like I said I'm not interested in power or weight savings, mainly for necessity for the wider tire and I'm pretty fond of the look. On my gen1/2 I liked the sound more than the Yoshi pipe as well, but that's personal preference.

How restrictive do you think that muffler actually is? On the gen1/2 I couldn't tell any HP loss swapping from the Yoshi to this.

Have you looked at the abba sky lift for the same money you get the full package
