Been awhile since I last checked in, with school and all that goes with it...

Good to see the cookies making the rounds. Way back when this got started, I visited with Eric a wee bit about doing more than one round as the logistics on this would be more of the "like great wines, great things take time" kinda thing. This might be a good direction for those who need something to expend their creative energies on, hey GABOI?

Any way, posting pictures of the process sure helps promote the whole family atmoshpere thing, too. Kind of like sharing good words in picture format, pretty cool stuff! :thumbsup:

And good to see some of the original patrons of the TCJ positively supporting the event! (Hey, Shannon! How you guys getting along? Dave get his new ride yet? Hope his healing is coming along well! Mines still slow but I am making progress.)

Still have not heard anything. My husband is leaving for Washington next weekend so I hope they make it here before then. I would hate to have no one to share those cookies with. :whistle:
 
Jay Willie: Right now my creative energies are being expeled on doing homework on spring break. Im trying to get ahead on papers that will be due sometime in the next 8 weeks for school. I filed an appeal a week ago to add 3 classes that will give me 5 more credits. I found out while applying for graduation that I needed 5 more upper division elective credits to graduate in May.

On another note, the whole this is like a fine wine that takes time, I feel like this cookie jar thread is similar to watching grass grow :laugh:. Oh well, it is what it is. JMO
 
Dood, like, don't you have enough to do already?!? Really I was hoping you'd follow up on my suggestion to start another jar :laugh:. Seriously though G_b, good luck on the hours appeal. I know you're keeping quite the schedule and I hope it all works out for you (isn't it a little late in the semester to get the other hours?).

The wine thing may find a better application as an idiom when the inference does pertain to some type of caloric intake as it would relate to 'eating cookies', whereas the other idea of watching grass grow is more often used as a reason for not doing anything. And besides, the whole 'time of fermentation process enhancing quality of the wine experience' does promote the whole 'good will' idea behind doing the TCJ. I believe this might be where you're falling a little short in the recognition of how your follow-up posts may be percieved as coming a little shy of the intended purpose for the TCJ.

Again as with wine, presentation can have a bearing on how others determine the quality of the bouguet, but then again, a deeper appreciation for the finer things brings greater meaning to the awareness of that quality. Other than that, maybe a box of Keebler's and a glass of 2% could help pass the time while watching that grass grow. After all, there's nothing like a good 'Boone's Farm' cookie fix for those who don't understand the reasons for the wait. :laugh:

:cheerleader::cheerleader:WOOHOO!!!!!:cheerleader::cheerleader: I got my package today!! We just got home and found the package on our doorstep. Could not have come at a better time! I also found 2 Hayabusa coasters!! SWEEEEEEEEEEEET! I was so busy reading the book to see what everyone else had to say and didn't notice Dave was already tearing into the brownies. What everyone wrote in the book so far is really uplifting to read. Thank you everyone for everything. And B@DA$$08BUS@... Tell your daughter these brownies ROCK!! I don't know what's in those oatmeal cluster things, but I might not get a chance to eat a whole one with my husband around. Thanks again!:beerchug::beerchug:

OMG! I feel like yelling done, throwing my hands up...CABusaGirl is the champion cookie roping champ. Did the cookie jar even cool off form the last oven in getting to you??? Those coasters are incredible...and I must compliment you on the beverage choice with cookies....FOSTERS!!!! Now that is how you eat cookies.

Dang, CABusaGirl!! Good job. That how the cookie jar is supposed to move. I vote you get the special cookie jar where ever it may be for the fastest regular cookie jar turn around!!:thumbsup:
 
Hey what can I say? We have been doing nothing but packing up this house and getting ready to move. I REALLY needed the break to do something I love. Dave is leaving for Washington tomorrow morning so I am able to send him with a bunch of cookies and brownies now too. :beerchug:
