iPhone 4

It's going to save money for something like 97% of their customers.

I was pissed when I saw that at first, until I went and looked at my data usage. I am constantly on the net (and I mean CONSTANTLY) and my highest usage in the last 6 months was 940MB. So I would save $5 a month. Not sure if I can keep my unlimited plan or not.???

Yes you can keep your unlimited data as long as you dont switch to the 2gb plan, so continue to upgrade and you will be grandfathered in.

If you already have unlimited data, they will let you keep it, but they have a 'secret' formula to tell you the price you'll pay for the phone (how far along you are in your existing contract, payment record, etc.)...

Exactly! It would be stupid not to upgrade. Like I said, I've at least broke even every time....

I'm in, just broke the 3G yesterday, going to use the upgrade option and get on for $199+the $18 fee. Will pre order on the 15.

Apple nokia motorola are way way behind on cellphone tech.
The only cell phone company right now that is even pushing the limit is HTC.
HTC makes super fast high powered flawless phones.

HTC hd2 with winmo here. best phone i ever had.

I agree with Crazy, HTC HD2 is awesome and destroys my iphone 3G. AT&T still doesn't have the HD2 available, but I will get one if they have it when my contract expires on the iphone.

GOOD NEWS DIRECT FROM APPLE SITE .

Can I use my current rate plan with an iPhone?
Yes, if you currently use iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS, you can keep your current rate plan. But if you have an earlier-generation iPhone or other phone, you may be able to keep your current voice plan, but you are also required to have an iPhone data and messaging plan. Get started by checking your eligibility and reviewing the AT&T rate plans.

Can I keep my current AT&T unlimited data plan?
Yes. If you currently have an unlimited data plan for your current iPhone or other AT&T smartphone, you will be able to keep it when you purchase your new iPhone.

New iPhone 4 32gb at $299
:cheerleader:

Vega since you have already been running iOS4 I have a question for you. Do you have to shoot video at 720p or can you scale back to save space?

Keep the unlimited. Once tethering becomes mainstream, your gonna love your unlimited plan.

AT&T unlimited plan is not unlimited but 5gig a month, try to tether and see what your bill jumps to. The after 5 gig is unbelievably expensive. Read the fine print. To truly get unlimited with AT&T it will be another 50.00 to tether.

Preordered  Both Apple and ATT sites were slow as :moon: this morning. Took a ton of attempts to get the whole process to load.

2 things:

1st: I will never own an Iphone unless they end their exclusive deal with AT&T. I have owned 2 phones with AT&T in the past and had nothing but problems with service. They may have gotten better but they have just left a nasty taste in my mouth.

2nd: Really gotta be careful comparing phones. I see all these reviews comparing the Iphone to every other smart phone and they come up with different conclusions. I think it comes down to does it do what you need it to do.

On a side note - I just ordered the HTC Incredible. Need to get away from the damn crackberries. We will see how that phone functions when I get some play time with it.

edit my last post on this :

Cap your right and I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong .
Your post about 5gigs is the limit made me swear to myself that I use way more than that but it is actually MBs I use and not GBs.
I just looked at my bill and past data usage .
I average between 1-2gb a month.

Anyway I am gonna get the new simply for the video/skype ability .
Grandpa will appreciate me being able to share all Adams special moments with him .
And to me no matter what that costs it will be worth it .
Also I have been using iPhone since it's debut and this old dog don't want to learn any new tricks .
This is why I still use XP and not Vista .

1. Tethering is using your phone's data service to get internet on your computer.
2. There is no way you are using 20-30GB (NOT MB) of data every month.
