Is it true??????

There are some animals you must do absolutely everything you can to avoid them, on a bike or not!

(Over_Easy @ Oct. 06 2006,19:01) A motorcycle, especially the Busa (weight+speed), wants to stay upright when moving.  Each wheel is it's own gyroscope.  Even if you were to slap the handle bar at speed with no hands it will straighten out on it's own.

It would take a substantial hit form something unforgiving (like a squishy squirrel) to knock the beyond control.
I dunno. BA Busa tagged a squirrel a couple months ago and all it did was flip it into the air at the rider behind him!

I done a mini tank slaper the other day, I was turning right going 10 to 15mph I had it leaned over and my back tire slid on a hand full of gravel in the road, I thought I was going down,I wasnt expecting it and it scared me, and I thought wouldnt that be something to wreck at 10 mph how stupid, but I see how it happens

If you keep your tires inflated to exactly 42 psi per the Suzuki engineers, you will never go down if you hit a rock.

I've gone over a couple without to much notice. I was going up to New Brunswick two wks. ago, was coming back from Tenn. going up Rt.9 and came apon guy hauling a trailer. He tons of crap in the back. decided to pass him before it all fell out. Just then a pc. of 3-4"pvc 6-7' long slide out. We were doing about 70mph. That thing was spinning & sliding all over the road and not slowing down all that much. It looked like a big anger snake. That made it come at me pretty slow. Got by it, pulled up by him, Told him his crap was falling out. He just shrugged his shoulders and rolled up his window. Should've taken off his mirror and thrown it in the back with the rest of his $hit. I don't know what hitting that would've been like. Worse then a rock? Busabrad, sorry for the rant.

thinking about stuff in the road just made me think of that.

Years back when i had my CBR XX I Was with a group doing a spirited run back north from detriot at night (we we're dumb i know). Was doing 100 and glanced at my mirrors for any "funny lights" back there when i heard a crunch. Looked forward and the ZX-11 in front of me just ran over a large plank of wood splitting it in two.

One peice wizzed by me and the other went straight for the front wheel. I just got the bike back a few weeks prior from my highside in the rain and thought "Oh no. Not Again!". Peice slammed into the front tire and splintered. I braced thinking the wheel was gonna lock but nothing. We pulled over and checked my bike over. Looked fine. Got her home and washed it the next day. couldn't even find a scratch.

Theres a strech of road on my normal ride down to the beach that is like a 1/2 mile of small woops. And normaly of course I tend to keep the speed down to about 65-75mph and the last time I went I was with a few friends (1 with a turbo busa) and my 1 friend decided to take off at these small woops. Not even thinking ( very bad to act and not think first) I went after him and to my suprise at about 160mph the woop were gone. It was like a flat road, lol

followed a friend and saw him hit a large white bird at 180.His bike didn't shake at all but the mess that was in the air right behind him had me washing mine.

I've often thought that if you hit a cat or possum or raccoon at like 160, the unsuspecting rodent would simply split in two. Meow.

I do not have experience with this, however.

I ran over a ground hog going about 60 in a turn. I thought all was going to be over before I hit it, and then I hit it, and ran over him. (poor ground hog) But much to my surprise, I didn't go down or even loose control. There was a bump, but that was all.(and this was on a 1972 Sportster, which doesn't even begin to handle like my Busa)
