I was wondering how all of you right winged orgesters feel about Romney's statements about the "victims" class. I'm sure there are many here who fit into the 47% that he basically said were irrelavant. Also to say publicly that the middle east thing can't be solved is just plain crazy. This guy knows how to actually use the english language but he's as much an empty suit as W was! Why do the Republicans nominate such losers to lead the charge?

I can hear crickets in this thread! HELLLLLLOOOOO!!! Can anyone answer the above question or do you all hate your candidate for president too?:rofl::rofl:

They all preach well but when times comes to get it done nothing happens... It is the system has to change.. the goverment, the bunch of greedy politician...
Obama says on speech now we do get most of our oil sources from inside the country rather than going to other countries but then we still paying 3.60 per gallon..:moon:

I guess Mitt needs to only speak what other people write and scroll across a teleprompter so he can always be giving bright flowery speaches without substance too. Why is it that the left are always accusing everyone of hating?

I think you can ignore progress but you can't change the facts. Obama averted a depression, got a foothold on healthcare reform (a democrat and republican goal for nearly a century), saved the auto industry, got out of Iraq, got Bin laden, has manufacturing around and it's on the rise, and restored rational leadership to our foreign policy. Bill Clinton balanced the budget and turned the keys over to Bush with a surplus. Government can and in fact has worked right up until Republicans decided to obstruct it. Those are facts.

THere is a legit Republican view of the country. That was expressed in truely great leaders like Eisenhower. So I ask again, where are those rational, enlightened, principaled, strong leaders on the Republican side?

You are aware that Obama actually writes his speaches right? Also you have never heard Obama say anything about anyone hating. Besides that's not the question. The question was where are the Republican leaders?

I don't really care for Romney either, but he is better than the alternative in my opinion. We all say stupid sh!t from time to time, even President Obama has been caught a few times sticking his foot in his mouth. Don't even get me started on Biden.

Are we not going to mention the failures and going to stick to a one sided point of view?

I have to get back to work now as there are things happening to our sovereign territory overseas that demand our attention.

Thanks for your service (I assume that's what you meant).

Have you listened to what Romney said ? I completely agree with his statement. Well the sentiment, I can't say the 47% figure is accurate. Sorry but you really need to do a fact check as well. We are in the longest recession / depression in my lifetime. Are you better off today than you were four years ago ? I'm not. Inflation and stagnant wages along with reduced benefits are killing me, but then I'm a working man. In other words no one foots my bills, buys my meals, or in any manner provides for me but me. I hear people, all people talking about the pain of the economy, I don't hear anyone saying things are going well for them. Obama cannot run on his economy even with the printing presses running full tilt. He might have saved GM but not the auto industry. I seriously doubt he did anything but hand out a butt load of industrial welfare. Our National Debt has nearly tripled under Obama.

But in reality The Seals took out Bin Laden after Obama got out of their way.

I don't keep up with the news, are we out of Iraq ? Gitmo closed ? I think he's getting ready to release the master mind behind the '93 bombing of the Towers. He's redistributing the wealth, unfortunately it's the little bit of money I don't have anymore. Our embassies are burning in the Middle East, we've apologized to all our enemies for being Americans.

IMO all of Washington should hang their heads in shame and I don't personally think Romney will / can fix America.

I was planning and trying to look forward to retirement. I'm pretty concerned that it will not happen as planned. I'm just hoping I don't lose everything after working my butt off for the past 46 years.

here is something i posted on facebook the other day concerning the economy. just my two cents

One of the biggest republican arguments is that more people are on welfare andffood stamps because of the president. No more people are on food stamps because of the "Great Recession" This country went through. Then Democrats would say that the "Great Recession" is all because of Bush. Not so much. Neither one of these people flipped a switch and said "Hey great day for a recession right" The
choices that Americans made caused the recession. A few examples being wall street for one and the obsession with (quick) capital gains at any cost, not looking at long term growth and extremely risky investments i.e. mortgage backed securities. It also is on Americans themselves.

As recessions are a natural part of the (actual) free market. Usually in times of plenty people save their money for the rainy day that we always hear about. And when a recession hits and prices on things they want start to fall they are then able to use that money to purchase goods, which depletes stock, and re employees people. Instead not only were Americans far in debt they also had a NEGATIVE savings rate meaning they spent what they did not have. So when recession came they had no means to help the country "spend" its way out (using savings not credit). Of course in large numbers if people are not paying their bills for which they borrowed to do so then that loss also falls back on their lenders which then fall back on theirs and so forth and so on. Not to mention some of these lenders where leveraged 10 to 1 meaning for every 10 dollars they loaned they only had one to back it up. FURTHER MORE... once these people did start to spend money including any stimulus a good portion would have been used to pay down their outstanding debt as i am sure some of you have done. This leaves even less money going into the economy to help it recover. Moral of this rant, understand that at the very least the American people are as much to blame as the politicians and no matter what anyone says, we cant get back to normal in a few years, it took over a decade to get into this, it wont take 4 years to get out. Just look up Japan's lost decade and see if there are any similarities to you.

P.S. Chevy sux, Ford rules, and I drive a Nissan Titan..

Lol at trying to say Obama did ANYTHING financially positive for us.

I'm not saying Romney is the savior for America. At this point, I'm just hoping the guy can balance a checkbook better than Obama.

2011 revenue:
2011 budget:

I'll let you fill that one in.

"averting a depression" by inflicting not millions, not billions, but trillions of $$$$ in debt on us and our future Americans is not something I'd hang my hat on.

Ps---what scale are you using to say we are not currently in a depression? If you use the scale of median middle class income, we are squarely in the middle of one right now. Add to it the wonderful budget defecit he's hanging on us, and the insane growth rate of the national debt....you think Greece was bad, give this dude another 4 years.

Open. Your. Eyes.

Romney was right, the truth hurts, quite often. With Do3 I'm not sure 47% is accurate but a large and ever getting larger portion of society does depend and expect from the govt.
You can't tell me this is not a carefully planned attack though. The video is months old. Carefully saved until now.
The fact CNN played an audio clip of Obama in 98 saying he supported redistribution should be more shocking but the media won't spin it that way.
And Romney is not the best he's just the most 'background innocent' and the best hollow puppet they could find. He's been hand picked by folks who's names we don't know. Those are the one with the real power.

Crickets? The OP was posted at 5 AM this morning...believe it or not I actually DO NOT sit a the keyboard all night waiting to pounce on some hapless liberal...

Ok, so here's my response: Romney may not have used the best choice of language, but he IS SPOT ON. If you don't like it, put on your big girl panties (pink ones, of course) and get over it. There is NO AMOUNT of taxing the rich than can make up for 47% of the population not paying ANY tax, and another 40% getting a cash 'refund' (i.e., welfare by any other name) on taxes they never paid in the first place. It may not help his campaign, but it's still the unadulterated truth. But then again, most liberals "can't handle the truth"...

It took an UNEMPLOYED, liberal activist grandson of Jimmy Carter who sneaked a hidden camera into this event MONTHS AGO who's just been holding it as ammunition for the best opportunity to inflict the most damage in order to draw it out - nothing like the 'disinterested journalist' that he might claim to be. It was totally a hatchet job. Yet, Obama can be caught on video saying how he totally believes in "redistribution" and he gets a by from the press - because it's a FEEL GOOD statement.

No, I don't think it helps Romney much unless he responds correctly: "My comments may sound harsh, but it doesn't change the truth; if you want total Bovine Scatology, go ahead and re-elect Obama, because it FEELS GOOD".

You are aware that Obama actually writes his speaches right? Also you have never heard Obama say anything about anyone hating. Besides that's not the question. The question was where are the Republican leaders?

You are outside your mind if you think he writes his own speeches. LOLOL. He may very well proofread and potentially add to them once written, but writing them?!

Christ I hope he has better things to do than that. Then again his best skill is speaking,....maybe he just focuses on that?? Let me guess, you saw a picture of him writing, read or heard he writes them, so therefor it must be true!...uuuuggghhhh
