That may be a fact, but it is equally "factual" that the outcome would have been entirely different if the LEO had not pursued, in violation of department policy. That fact seems irrelevant to you, but not to everyone. By all means, keep your perspective but it is not the only reasonable perspective and it certainly is not a superior viewpoint simply because you say so.
