I don't like the idea of the limited access...If funding for the site and to help you out is what needs to be done then let's do it...I have enjoyed most of my experiences on this site and have connected with people that I would have never had access to if it had not been for the site...I don't want to see it limited in anyway...Nor do I want you or your family to have any burden...I'm not rich, not even close...Actually no where close but I blow a lot of money freaking off...Let's set something up and get some cheddar rolling in...If you don't need it we could always use it to build maybe a site sponsored turbo busa or something that if close by each member could ride it or something...

Scary at first, funny now that I know it's a joke.
I am totally dependant on this board, I have no life whatsoever other than the fine folks on this board, and my Busa.
I get up 1 hour early every morning just to check the board.
I go to sleep every night at 1AM just so I can spend more time on the board.
When I'm working, all I can do is think about when I'm back at home and on the board again, It's all I dream about at night.
My wife.... bless her heart, has rapidly taken a backseat to this board....I now only speak to her for 5 mins b4 bed and 5 mins when I wake up.
I used to take my dog for a walk every night, but now......the board.
I used to enjoy working on custom "cages", but now I'd rather spend that time on the board.
I've managed to lose all but my very closest friends due to the board, but I'm happier than I've ever been.
I am so thankful for this board.

Cap'n, I have read several places where you have stated "Do Not send me Money" "I've got everything under control" Well that is all well and good but what does it cost to keep this Board running the way it does? Now if yer doing a little "Forgotten" T1 utilization in the large corporation thing thats cool, but otherwise your looking at money and time. I still think there should be a way to that everyone could agree to to put some extra money into the board. I dunno. Just a thought. I'm going to go order a couple more shirts... D'oh! How are jobs in OKC lately? The REAL market down here is dismal. The papers post 6% new jobs, but what they don't say is that we lost like 79,000 high paying telecom jobs that were replaced by more low paying retail/restaurant jobs. The real estate market has taken hit (no appreciation and rents are down), so the buy and hold strategy won't work for at least five years. Just have to wholesale for quick cash. I am hoping we will not go through what we did in the 1980's again.
Jobs in San Antonio are up 56%, though, and the RE market is booming. But, again, don't know the breakdown of actual jobs (techie v. burger flipper). Might be cities nearby that are booming. Check the library for today's papers from around the state/country.
I just finished a major project (too bad the pay wasn't major ) so if you need some help brainstorming or what not, let me know. I think you have a great marketing tool right here and I have been toying with the idea of making aftermarket parts and selling them through the site. That would be an excellent way to support the site and build capital at the same time. Plus, it can turn into passive income, which is ALWAYS good.

Narcissus I agree, sometimes you need to get out of the comfort zone to get a good eye opening to see exactly what life is about and keep you on your toes to appreciate what you have. Complacency is something that we all fall victim too. Like I said before I will be fine, I'm healthy and there are hundreds of jobs out there for me to take, I just have to choose which one I want to do the most.

In Hawaii we lost about $5K a month from January and havent bounced back yet. But I was hoping to get things rolling here but response is allmost nill... I shall prevail!
One useful activity I recently learned from my mentor: get a piece of paper and a clock and write #'s 1-20 down the page. Now, in 2 minutes, write down 20 things that fly, anything that comes to mind (like birds, planes, toaster ovens, neutrinos).
Now write #'s 1-20 on the other half of the page. Think of a financial goal, where you want to be and in what time. Now time yourself again for 2 minutes and write down 20 ways of achieving that goal. You might get less than 20 the first few times. After writing it down, go through the list and mark the best, second best and third best ideas on the list.
I do this every day now. It helps keep the mind active and you wouldn't believe some of the stuff you can think of when you just write down everything.
