Japanese motorcycle tow truck

I read about these several years ago in a motorcycle magazine. They said the idea was if a car breaks down and causes a traffic jam, a motorcycle would be able to maneuver through the traffic and get to the stalled vehicle much easier than a truck could. It looks like the trailing wheels have some fairly heavy brakes, so with the weight of the towed vehicle on them I doubt if braking would be too much of an issue. Also, I wonder if these bikes have been geared lower to accomodate the heavy load? Seems like they would be... Pretty cool stuff either way.

Seen a video of them on you tube before they look pretty cool in action:thumbsup:

Awesome! thanks for sharing. Very impressive. I wonder what the life span is on one of those bikes as I'm sure they get a serious workout.

 What a hoot..!!
Those are some smart/clever people. Only THEY could have thought of THAT..!!

A smart person would have put it on a car or truck:poke: I thought it was going to fold out an tow motorcycles not cars, If he needs to stop fast ??? Seems to be asking alot from the bike to pull an then stop with a car on it  But again where there is a will there is a way:laugh:

Sorry but these pics are not from Japan. The kanji is Chinese.... Also the license plates aren't Japanese...... I just got back from Japan Yesterday........

I thought about that right after I posted it. :rulez:

They could use those on the 15 here. Takes forever for the tow truck drivers to get through traffic.

Hate to try stopping~!~

Looks like a shaft going to the wheels, wonder if they are controlled~?~

Yeppas, I'd say that have to otherwise it'd be a little choo choo that couldn't stop going down the road...

Why in the heck are you guys questioning the ability of these bike. Did we forget that these are the same people who created these timeless pieces of work (Busa) that has us all apart of this message board today. Let us not question their ability to design a towing Goldwing, if they can produce the fastest machine in the world on two wheels(Busa). Come on guys:bowdown:
