Just bought a 99 with 12k miles on it! What now?

Whatever you do, I'd wrap up any stock part taken off and store it carefully. The real value in that bike is as it is now. Very nice find, I agree with the Cheeser... I'd clean that thing enough to eat off of and get something else if you want to mod it. :welcome:

Thanks. Everything I take off is getting put into a box and stored. The only thing I'm doing to it is putting on a full exhaust system, pair valve removal, and maybe disconnecting the vacuum line to the air box so that the flapper valve doesn't close.
 
Leave that thing stock ! best bike ever made and will be highly collectable later

I have all of the stock stuff, all I did was put a pipe on it, PCIIIUSB, and removed the pair valve. I can put that stuff back on and it is stock in 2 hours. lol.
