Just got my bike from a 30k service.

Reason #487 why my Busa won't ever got to a dealership as long as I can help it...I don't trust 'em, don't want to deal with the BS, don't want to worry about what they just did or didn't do to my bike...no offense to those that may work for dealerships, but I just don't see the quality of customer service that used to be the norm...

you know mine is great i drop it off it is done when they say it will if not earlier i lost 2 bolts they replaed them. They showed me oil filter that was from the other dealer i bought it from adjusted my headlight no charge to me i also got 15% of cause i have bought bike in there before so i think i ispent 89 dollars for the first service. They told me who worked on it. When it was started everything they did i got a book when i left hehe

Sorry to hear about your experience at the stealership Charles. The prices are good at that particular dealership, but they just seem shady to me ever since I took my Busa in to get it serviced some 15K miles ago, I'll never give those quacks my business again, ever!

It is quite hard to find a dealership that will care for your bike as if it was their own. They just want your money when you come in and buy. Best bet is to find a good repair shop. That is what I did when I had my bikes. Glad they fixed your problem but sorry for the hassle they gave you.

Nobody gives a flyin' @#*& about anything that aint theirs. Its a me me me world...and if it doesn't personally involve most folks, they could care less about your stuff. Thats why nobody touches any part of my bike at any time.
I don't agree totally

I had a horrible time finding a shop that would even touch suzuki. I dislike the local dealership, thing they do laxidasical work. I found a guy about 50 minutes away, nicest guy in the world, awesome work, just takes forever to get my bike back because everyone in the world down here goes to the same person. Surprize that he treats his customers like they know there own bike. But I tell you I will make the trech (and inconvinence my wife/friends for a ride) everytime I need work just because he does such an outstanding job.

Read these posts and you'll see why "Craftmanship is lost" MOST people do not work for free. Dealerships not fing "stealerships" don't get anything for free either. Most of you guys wouldn't put up with the crap that you give these guys at your jobs. Most guys have a problem with getting bitched at when they are making 8-10 dollars an hour.

I never "bi#ch" at them.

I talk to them like a human, how I like to be talked to.

The problem is the work that some of them are doing. I understand that a buisness needs to be a buisness. But dealerships used to be know for the highest QUALITY work. Today, most dealerships are losing that image due to the work they are doing.

Hopefully, dealerships will hear this type of criticism and turn it around so they become know for QUALITY work. They have never been know for cheap deals, but for QUALITY work.

No matter how much I get paid I do a good job...why?....because I have pride in myself and my work. Nobody makes these bozo's work for 8-10 bucks an hour. They CHOOSE to be there. So if your gonna choose that line of work, show you can do more than lazy, don't give a *&%# half ass work. Or find another job.

this post confirms my impromtu service inquiry's I made at the local dealerships in the Virginia Beach area. When I shipped my bike from the west coast some damage was done. I tried to get a written labor quote to install a new fairing stay because the one I have bent (I can only put on 1 mirror). They told me that I needed to drop the bike off for a few days so they could take a look at the damaged one. Why? That doesn't make sense. All I needed was a labor quote to install the new part. Why would they have to take apart the fairing and look at the old one to determine the labor cost of replacing the new one. Well anyway, I told them they are full of crap (politely). I'm done rambling....

Thanks VaBusa for the advice on Redline Performance. I'll see about taking my bike there for tire installation/balancing.

Its hard to find a place that does good work and wants to keep you as a customer. Most of them think so what if you don't come back someone else will . I know you can't please everyone and I won't take crap from anyone , but if i'm paying $70+ an hr it BETTER be done right !!

well im a tech at a multi motor company dealership   ask power sports
our service department is not high tech or as fancy as others i take great pride in my work enjoy seeing the customer smile when i give himor her their bike or atv back ive taken great lengths to educate myself whenever possible . i personally wash every atv or bike i work on no matter what i do to them on my own time as we are paid flat rate there is alot that goes on behind the scenes that the averago joes never see like all flat rate techs hate warranty work because the motor company tells us how long it takes to get done in a perfect world so techs rtun around and try to rush and f thngs up but i also think if you mess somthing up you should have the testicular fortitude to own up to it and have it fixed before the customer comes but all i want to say is that not all techs are idiots and screw ups there are some that still care and if i can ever help anyone out with anything ill try all you gotta do is ask
