I think it is a comfort thing personally....I saw a guy this morning at the grocery store have 6 packages of TP, there was a limit and the clerk told him so, I though I might have to intervene as he looked almost like he was going to go ballistic on her...

That looks very si militar to my Springfield XDs. How thick is it? The XDs is only 1in thick, but downfall is that it only holds 5+1 in the 45 version, unless I run the longer magazine that accommodates another 2 rounds.
My sister works at Costco warehouses and told me an employee grabbed the forklift to get another pallet of toilet paper and before he got to the location it was to be set, the members jumped on it, ripped the wrapping paper and it was all gone in less than a minute. Not sure if it was at her store or one of the others. She said they also have been adjusting the limit per member, depending on availability.

Just curious ... hand guns used to be a hobby of mine. Gave away my very small collection years ago, regretting it now, but not because of the Apocalypse, just in general. If I were to get back in, I might start with this particular model (13+).

It’s pretty much a home detention of the entire country.
I saw in the local news something that really made me laugh, hoards of people turning up at the local Gun City hunting supplies store here in ChCh..... but it was what they were buying up that made me laugh... air rifles!
Yup, air rifles. While Americans go out and buy up as many rifles, assault weapons, hand guns and ammo as they can fit into their new F250 trucks, here’s Kiwis only able to have an air rifle.
I thought you guys might get a kick outta that, it’s a crazy world we live in

Not the ones that are available in NZ, after the ChCh mosque massacre the government changed the laws around the air rifles and only the low muzzle velocity type are for sale now. Good ol’ big brother keeping us all safe lol
