Just threw a leg over the ZX-12 today.

... and I'm not that impressed. The cycle show is in Seattle for the weekend, and all the 2000 models seem to be there. After checking out the Suzuki portion (love the new bandit 600!) I headed over to Kawasaki to check it out. It seems smaller then the Busa, and is definately not as wide. I like the riding position, as it feels a little sportier. Might suck on a long ride, but would feel great in the corners. The showroom bike was insanely light! Turns out it has no fluids whatsoever and according to others there was lacking internal parts as well :) I don't know why they didn't setup the air scoop like they did for the new ZX-6's which look alot better. Only on the ZX-12 is it not integrated or contoured to the fairing, making it look like an after thought. The lower fuel tank should lower the cfg a bit, which should be nice. I didn't like the instruement cluster, and am not a big fan of large lcd guages either. The finish in the whole cockpit area seemed a little lacking. The body work / style I like. Something about the lines just looks sharp. It can't compete with the Busa's whole "Anime" look though :) The headlights are neat too.

I'll bet it's the bike of alot of poeple's dreams, just not me. I already have mine :)

That`s what happens when you have a bike ready to release and a bike such as the busa comes along...it burst your bubble and you have to rush things along...the 12 will be a good bike but it does not have the overall thought behind it that went into the busa.
