Knocking sound at idle when hot

Hi Guys,
This knock in the motor is really getting to me, so i checked in the workshop manual on the Balancer shaft. Apparently this shaft, holding the gear can be adjusted by screwing it in or out, to stop noise. could this be the reason why some Buses have this noise while others dont?
Any info on this will really be appreciated.

Thanx for all help.
Bernie

Not sure, but I had a similar sounds and when I switched to synthetic oil the knocking greatly decreased to the point of be non-existent..

PS-nice color

Well, I have'nt adjusted it yet, but a friend phoned a friend in Johannesburg, who is a Busa "specialist". He says it definately is the balancer shaft, and not to worry about it.. He says that he blue printed a Busa motor and actually removed the balancer to save weight, after having the crank, etc, balanced. Will let you know after I try adjusting it...

I have a knocking rattling noise at under 3k with no load too. I kinda thought it might be the balancer too. I took it to a local Suzuki deal and their mechanic said it wasn't adjustable. So I figure I better work on it myself. It makes the sound more after it warms up. A fresh oil change helps..but after a few 100 miles it comes back.
