Pete and Ray, both government senior technicians were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up
A woman walking by stops and asks what they are doing.
“We're supposed to find the height of the flagpole,†says Pete, “but we don't have a ladder.â€
So the woman says, “Give me that wrench out of your toolbox.â€
She loosens a few bolts and lays the pole down on the ground.
Then she takes a tape measure from their toolbox, measures the pole and announces,
“Eighteen feet, six inchesâ€, turns and puts the tools back in the tool box and walks away.
Ray shakes his head and laughs. “Ain't that just like a Miss know-it-all woman!
We ask for the height and she gives us the length!â€
Pete and Ray are still working for the government.
