Finally found just the right exhaust bracket/pass. bracket eliminator for the 10. It's a black anodized piece from Spencer Cycle. I think removin' the pass. brackets and installin' this really cleaned up this area of the bike. Of course I took a few pics...

Not for 10R (Gixxer1k) but shows the gold...

Whatta ya think? Haters need not reply. You will only be ignored. All constructive feedback is welcomed on the planned parts though.

Thats not a Busa Bullet, you know that right?
Yeah, it's better... for me anyways.

Have you thought about staying with a black rearset and just blacking the bike out???

I know, we just miss you being one of us. Thats all.
Gimme a little time. I'm workin' a side job and tryin' to save up to put a chunk down on an '05 LE. My intentions are to keep the 10 as a twisty bike and set the busa up as a bonafied, GPS/Police Laser verified 200mph ride without regard for twisty handlin' and such. I'm thinkin' lowered and lightened with some nice horsepower addin' mods... and of course some nice aesthetic work to make it look sweet while it's doin' the 200mph runs.

Can't wait to get my hands on that LE and start the mods! Look for a full showroom to 200mph step by step series with pics along the way. If ya'll can hang in there until then it'll definitely be worth all the 10 stuff you'll endure between now and then, I promise.

I will own a 200mph busa... that's a promise.

Yeah, I thought about black rearsets, but there's too much other gold stuff on the bike that would need to be blacked out to make it look right, Forks, brakes, shock, etc... It's cheaper to play off of the gold accents and go with gold rearsets. I don't wanna spend too much money on the 10. I want to save some for the busa project I'm plannin'.

Just get some Flat/satin black Krylon rattle cans and go nuts. Color matching is easy after that.

j/k bro....Brackets look really good, and the gold accent will set off the rest of the bike nicely.

Yeah, I guess I could Krylon the hell out of it, huh?

Thanks for the input on the brackets.

where do the pretty girls put their feet now??
Well, I've got a really good reply to that question but this is a G rated board.

Actually I'm gonna have the passenger brackets and pegs powdercoated black so I can throw 'em back on if there's a chance I might need to give a hottie a ride. If I'm out with the race hanger on and run across one I guess I'll just have to get 'er number and ride 'er later.

Really like the rearsets but the levers just don't do it for me. Hey, its your bike do what you like the most man. Just glad your still happy with your choice on the 10. Looks great.

The levers that came on it are black so I'm not in a hurry to change them out. I'll prolly wait a while about those anyway. The rearsets I wanna change as soon as possible. I don't care for the hinged, flexible factory pegs.

Looks great...I like it alot!!!

Hmm.....new Bus......turbo, Nos, or all motor???
Thanks bro.

I'd like to do 200mph on all motor. I'd love to go turbo right off the bat but that's a lotta $$$. If a promotion I'm up for comes through as expected then turbo would be an option. If not, sprayin' is cheaper and will prolly be the way I have to go if I have to use a power adder to get there... I'm thinkin' a properly tuned 1397cc big bore motor with a small shot of NOS should have enough ass to hit 200. Whatta you think?

Done a stack of research on what it takes lately to get 200+ and hit high eights with motor, with Nos, and with boost.
Leaving setup completely aside, cuz we can change that at anytime, and just speaking power, if yer gonna hit 200 on an all motor bike yer gonna need a really strong 1397 prolly around 220hp+.....add the bottle and you'll be gauranteed...shouldn't really need it though!!
It's possible to do it with around 200hp if yer a little dude, but not when yer our size...... 250+ lbs.
You or I are gonna need a little extra oomph to get there.
I've decided on a turbo, cus once ya break every penny down it's actually not alot different.
A ghetto kit with a tial gate is gonna set ya back about 4k.
A 220+ motor is gonna set ya back only a little less depending on who builds and tunes.
You should talk to JC and see what he'll charge!!
I figure I should see in the neighbourhood of 210+- with a 280hp ghetto, and hopefully see 8.99 if I can ride the damn thing.....that ones gonna be tough!!!
Hard to build for both worlds though.
IMHO......ultimate for drag would be big all motor/NOS....ultimate for the big end would be turbo....call it and go with it dude!!
I'm callin ghetto for my purpose, the only question I have, which can't even be answered for sure is which will last longer??
