I have a chrome EKZVX2 chain and a 43t vortex sprocket arriving any day. I'll be replacing the shift forks and shafts and have 2nd gear undercut while I'm in there. Missed the 1-2 shift at the last drag race. I'm going to attempt to do a decent read up of this as I go since I couldn't find a step by step info on here and I think the problem has plagued alot of busa owners. After that, I'm going to upgrade the ecu and rotor to '02-up so I can use the ecu interface and add 40hp dry shot nitrous. That all should keep me busy for the next couple months.

I have been reading and learning from everyone at this site for over a year. Now that I got a new pc, I figured it was time I participated for once. I got my '01 busa a year ago and it has consumed my life. There was a lot of nice chrome and polish work on the bike when I got it. So far the mods I've done include: integrated led rear lights, smoked front signals, wind screen, handmade undertail, hand made race exhaust that I use at the drag strip, upgraded headlight, scorpio alarm, swingarm extensions, rear lowering links' home made lowering spacers to lower the front, homemade lowering strap that I use at the drags, homemade hump storage mod, and 2 piece billet grips. So far, I've spent less than $6000 total including what I paid for the bike. In the next few weeks I got a list of more things to get done on the bike and I'll try to keep up with my posting and pics. Again, thanks to all the members who helped me out. It's nice to know there are others with the obssesion! Well, I been staring at all your bikes for a while so it's time I showed you mine.

The way the black and chrome go together, it's just so natural!! Nice lookin bike.

In these pics I had just installed my extensions and still had the stock header on with no pipes. Also no chain. I now have my drag exhaust on which is basically a custom made 4-2-1 slash cut open header that ends under the right footpeg. For an update, I took out the engine last week, split the cases and replaced the bent shift fork and shaft. Then gave the engine a good inspection, new gaskets, reassembled and put it all back together. I should have the clutch mod, hd clutch springs, and slave support installed in a couple days and should have the nitrous system on it in a couple weeks. Hoping to have it on the local dragstrip first part of March. I'll get some more pics posted in the next day or so.
