Been doing a lot of video watching online studying launches it seems everyone revs and holds at different rpms so im curious what range do you launch from?

Bar bikes are a little different. Bike is 64", 2 step set @ 6k. I weigh about 240, so I can't launch much lower than that.

you kinda have to find what works best for you, for example some people leave at low rpm's and are good about not letting the rpm drop while slipping the clutch, but i like to leave a little higher around 5000 because i kinda let the clutch out faster and it drops the rpm,s so i works best for me to leave higher!!

I use the technique on Brock's site which has always got me my best times. I launch a bit over idle and pin the throttle. If the track is prepped well, I can raise it higher but then it may wheelie and slow down.

depends on tire condition..worn tire tends to spin real easy.. but usually launch around 5-6K

my tread is all worn out.:sulk:1.49---1.53 short time.

What's kinda 60's are you getting? Is that w.o.t. on the 2-step?
Can't get out of the 1.70s. Had a lot of other issues with the bike, haven't been able to get back to back passes in yet. Think I got them all fixed, gonna try again tonight. I twist the throttle til it starts stuttering, then throw the clutch and get it open as fast as I can.

Thanks. Keep the updates coming. I tryed the same method last nite at Houston Raceway Park and all I did was blow the tire off (Full street michelin 40psi). I have a 7" M/T slick on another rim but I haven't tryed it yet.

6.25 @ 119 tonite. 1.56 60' Bumped the 2 step to 6500. There's more in there still but i'm getting better.........

Went 6.18 last nite. 1.52 60' Bike nite was a frikkin blast. Made 25 passes. .18,(twice) .19 and a bunch of .2x's. Had Hoot (Dogman on here) ride it and he ran a 5.98 with a 1.48 60' Bike's running good, and I'm slowly getting better.
Will start a thread n post pics later.

Try leaving at 3500rpm and increasing 500rpm each run and until it gets too squirly. When it starts coming up or spinning lower it a few 100rpm and thats it.

Same here. When I was geared -2 +5 I couldn't leave higher than 3,000 without wheelstand. Now that I'm back down to -2 +3 I'm leaving at 8,500. This is on a 1000 though.
