Same here. When I was geared -2 +5 I couldn't leave higher than 3,000 without wheelstand. Now that I'm back down to -2 +3 I'm leaving at 8,500. This is on a 1000 though.

I left at 8500 once...didnt finish the run or the 60ft

I've changed my technique a little, stutter set @ 7k, throttle pinned. Off the clutch as quick as I can without bogging the motor. Gonna try a 44 tooth rear next, these 1.5x's are pi$$ing me off.....

Whats up...Im back in teh saddle 2008 Busa. Havent hit the track again but i have been in the mountains of north GA...great time. Vid was funny i watch it every now and then when i need a laugh.

Mr. Brown

May I ask what kind of setup are you running, because my 60ft is not much more than yours, but I can't get out of the high 6's. I'm talking about 6.80-90 range. Now I still have stock sprockets on my 08. My setup is Full Yosh system, PCIII (no custom map), lower 1 1/2 inch in the front, 1/2 inch in the back, and stretched 6" over. Any advice thanks, GONE.

00 stock motor, ported head, thinner head gasket, pc3, sidewinder, 16/44, 64", shifter, strap, flat pan, lowest hole adjustable bones, thats about it. I weigh close to 300 suited.
You said your 60's aren't much more than mine, define not much....
Post your numbers and I will give you my opinion.

Invest in a Launch Master from Schnitz Racing to help with consistent launches.

I don't know how to launch very well.... Isn't how quickly release the clutch part of the equation all my 8,000 rpm launches, where I just let that clutch fly ended in failures... well the accurate word would be wrecks. So I tend now to ease bikes out the whole a lot more:laugh:

yeah it really depends on how you have the bike geared and how you ride it. One guy can hop on a bike and launch at 4k rpms and cut a 1.5 60' and another guy can hop on the same bike and launch at 8k and cut the same 1.5 60'. Its all in how you get off the clutch and on the throttle.

4-4.5k works for me, but have tried everything from 3-8.5k

Damn NightFlight, you've got that launching sheetz down.

Cool Beans Dude! You get a double thumbs up!:thumbsup:
