Legalizing marajuana in california?

They should have legalized it a long time ago.. Read some of the articles linked there from TIME magazine.

It just seems odd to me....they go on and on about how bad marajuana is, etc...

"marajuana is terrible, it leads to violent acts - robbery, killing, stabbing, and its a gateway drug....people who use it move onto other things....it's undermining the very moral values of this countr.....oh, wait, we can tax this sh*t? Marajuana is a wonderful drug, everyone should go buy some!"

this plant should of never been illegal to begin with but it generates too much revenue for our government when confiscated. i never understood why they would target something natural that grows from our soil and gets the most attention as opposed to the chemically designed drugs that are lethal.

The funny thing is that Marijuana in many forms is legal in several countries. India, Bangladesh and various others in that area have very liberal allowances for use of hashish. It is interesting to see how people of that culture view cannabis so casually while the conservatives in the US managed to obscure it with such negative nonsense.

OH no it's "Reefer Madness"!!!

Marijuana would help so many things in our country right now

Shoot, I bet even B-Rock would be up for signing that bill

I'm just trying to picture the governator with a giant blunt in his hand...

I agree, it should be legal. I've smoked it all of one time in my life, and that was over 20 years ago. I didn't even like it, but i would much rather be driving down the road amongst a bunch of stoners than a bunch of drunks.

I have done a bit back in the day, not anymore, but i bet if the made it leagl and taxed it like they do cigs and liquor there wouldnt be as many doing it orthere would and it would actually help the economy out.. who knows

I disagree. I think it should remain illegal.

Why?

I am curious to know. My position is that is should be absolutely legal for anyone with a chronic (no pun intended) disease that requires pain relief. It probably should be legal all around for many of the reasons mentioned in the article.

Personally, i cant think of a single argument that you could make against marajuana that you couldnt also make against alcohol.
