Liam (grandson) update

Way to go Liam:thumbsup: Keep on getting stronger little man:please:

From my dunce stool :cookoo:

Wow, it's been a long time since we've given anyone an update...sorry about that. Liam keeps improving. He still in NICU but they hope to move him to the Special Care nursery in the next couple of days and there has even been talk of him going home at the end of this week. They keep increasing the amount they're feeding him and he and our daughter are learning this whole eating thing together.

As we've said before, there will probably be some long-term, if not lifetime, issues because of this entire ordeal. But we can handle that. Thank you all again for your support.

Dan, Diana and family

Glad to hear of the improvements. The FB pictures are especially nice....looks like he's already getting a haircut!!

This is going to be the last update for this thread...

Liam and his parents went home yesterday! :cheerleader: The doctors, nurses and other hospital staff have done everything they could and what a wonderful job they did. Kidneys, blood pressure, lungs, etc. are all working the way they're supposed to. The MRI and EEG look promising. At this moment, there isn't any way to know if he will or won't have any lasting issues because of his rather tumultuous entrance into the world. That question can't be answered until he gets older and starts growing and developing physically and mentally as all babies do

It seems that I say this all of the time, but thank you all for your amazing support of our family through these difficult past 2 weeks.

So now Grammy can start some down and dirty spoiling as she sees fit!

I've been keeping track of this via facebook and I'm so happy he got to go home. Babies are such a blessing!! Enjoy the Grammy time with your precious grandchild.
