Liam (grandson) update

Prayers sent for your family and the new little one. I really hope things continue to improve.

Glad they found the obstruction! Prayers sent for little Liam to continue to get better.

Hang in there Dan/Di! Let the kids know we're pulling for them!

Here's this morning's update...not much to say. Last night about 9, Liam woke up! We were home so Elise sent us pictures. I haven't talked to her yet this morning, so I don't know how long he was awake and how responsive he was. We were going to stay away from the hospital today to give Elise and Jordan time to take it all in without the legions of family about, but we're going to have to go and pick up somethings we left there last night. So, it'll be a very quick stop and then get out of their way.

Today, all of the mundane things that have been negelected since Tuesday are kind of slapping me in the face...housework, groceries, etc...luckily our sweet Dave has stayed home to hold down the fort and he did laundry for us. He's been great.

One more time (which I'm sure won't be the last), our .org family has come through with the comfort and support we need. You are an incredible group of people.

Yes, thanks for the updates. I keep checking so please keep em coming when you get the opportunity to post. Y'all have been in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh, this is the first I'm hearing about Liam! Like everyone here, nothing but good thoughts and prayers for him and his entire family!! :please:

It's been a long time since the last update. Yesterday was busy! They scheduled an EEG at 8am but didn't do it until about noon. They also took him of the ventilator. That was quite unnerving, however, the little goober did just great! He's breathing 100% on his own now and sucking on a pacifier. The sucking part had one of the family members who also happens to be an RN a little nervous. I'm a little foggy on the actual information we got from the neurologist's read of the EEG. However, I know that he was impressed with how good it was considering what Liam went through.

The doctors and nurses are talking about letting Elise feed him today. :cheerleader: And an MRI will be scheduled in the next few days.

There are about 10 family member from my ex-husband's family who are here from out of town. They're leaving tomorrow so the chaos should be reduced a bit. We're going to try to make this a short day at the hospital to let them have time with Elise, Jordan and Liam.
