thanks again everyone.
blame on the driver is all mine. plain fact is I was in control of my bike, and over reacted.
Plec asked - "Did you have anything to do with not getting hurt?"
yes... the training I received in the ARMY did. After I hit the pavement on my ASS, I went into the drop and roll everyone learns in basic. Ya know, jump off a roof and drop and roll..... did that.
My Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket, the right sleeve is trashed.
Every piece of carbon fiber on my gloves are rough as 80 grit sandpaper.
The jeans I was wearing over my sweats are shredded.
My helmet is almost perfect, thanks to my good tuck&roll.
My ass is bigger than Aretha Franklin's right now.... hurts like a mofo. THAT is the extent of my injuries.
Back to the blame......
I am not racist by any means, but the car full of *%^( that I rolled in front of, they stopped. Made sure I was okay. I was. I could not sit up or anything, but was okay, and they left.
Left me in the fuggin ditch.
I was in one ditch, and my bike was 300 feet away in the other ditch. Once I could finally get up, I went lookin for the bike. Took a while. On the way to it, I saw a 6" gouge in the road that was followed by an oil splatter. I was not amused.
The next person I saw was the same EMT that saved me in '98. How ironic. He shook his head and said "Chris, why do we keep meeting like this?" ... quite comical.
Anyway, I'm lucky to be alive.
I rolled in front of that car for 50'. Good thing I was going faster.
