life is over as I know it.

Sorry to hear the bad new cache. Glad you made it through alive. The bike can be fixed eventually. Looks like you've got a lot of support for parts here. Mine's brand new, so I don't have anything to offer other than my condolences.

Get well soon.

Just totaled mine last week, so I know you pain. I had insurance that put me back on the road 5 days later. Made me feel a lot better to ride again. I did a buy back from the insurance company and sold it to a friend. Let me know if I can be of any help. It sure made things easier since I wasn't hurt...glad to hear you're ok!!

thanks again everyone.

blame on the driver is all mine. plain fact is I was in control of my bike, and over reacted.

Plec asked - "Did you have anything to do with not getting hurt?"
yes... the training I received in the ARMY did. After I hit the pavement on my ASS, I went into the drop and roll everyone learns in basic. Ya know, jump off a roof and drop and roll..... did that.

My Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket, the right sleeve is trashed.
Every piece of carbon fiber on my gloves are rough as 80 grit sandpaper.
The jeans I was wearing over my sweats are shredded.
My helmet is almost perfect, thanks to my good tuck&roll.
My ass is bigger than Aretha Franklin's right now.... hurts like a mofo. THAT is the extent of my injuries.

Back to the blame......
I am not racist by any means, but the car full of *%^( that I rolled in front of, they stopped. Made sure I was okay. I was. I could not sit up or anything, but was okay, and they left.
Left me in the fuggin ditch.

I was in one ditch, and my bike was 300 feet away in the other ditch. Once I could finally get up, I went lookin for the bike. Took a while. On the way to it, I saw a 6" gouge in the road that was followed by an oil splatter. I was not amused.

The next person I saw was the same EMT that saved me in '98. How ironic. He shook his head and said "Chris, why do we keep meeting like this?" ... quite comical.

Anyway, I'm lucky to be alive.
I rolled in front of that car for 50'. Good thing I was going faster.

Hey Cache ... glad that you're okay an not hurt any worse ... thank goodness for that good ol' Army training ... I also have a some parts that I can donate if you decide to repair it.
It is very sad to see those pics ...

cache....did you hit them in the rear and eject over the bars/auto....trying to figure out how you got off....and had time/chance to tuck/roll, or did the front lock up and tuck? Not that I want you to re-live it, but maybe others could learn.

the car was slowing down for a right turn, started to turn, I went around (yes not a good move) , then the car came back into the road. I avoided collision. but wound up over correcting, 35 outside with cold tires, started a low-side, then I did a big endo. Once off the bike, I rolled in front of this car and could see it coming. Luckilly, I ended up in a ditch. They left me there.

I can donate mirrors and a windscreen, rear signals and tail light if it helps? Stock cans also if you want Cache .
I can donate a set off stock cans to thew cause

Cache,

I'm a new member to this board but in the short time I've been checkin stuff out, it seems that there are a great number of folks that are willing to help each other out and not just say it! That's great! Sorry to hear & see pics of your misfortune. Good thing you got out of without too much injury.
For those of you that help your friends, You Rock!
