Blanca, if you have GOUT, I feel for you.
Had to stop eating lots of foods I love. After the feet are back to normal, talk to your Dr. about alporinal??? I have not had an attack in a couple years. I don`t drink booze. Quit COLD TURKEY. Many have asked was it hard? My replt is, the pain was the motivater. Do I miss it? Sometimes I would love an ice cold beer. But the thought of the pain says NO!

Totally agree there is a recipe for one in the p90x cookbook the is great :) can send it to ya if you want to try it. And I used to hate turkey burgers

Heck yea, please send that recipe.....I usually use "Chef Paul Prudhomme's Blackened Redfish Magic" and a little worcestershire sauce. Oh man, I'm hungry now!

Will do have to grab the cookbook and will send it along :)

On a recent trip to Vegas I had the opportunity to try an In and Out burger. It was good, I'll give them that, but it was no where near a Five Guys burger.

In and out is awesome as is five guys. I think they are different though. In&out requires that you know the secret ordering to achieve the most flavor

C'mon now... It cant be too bad... Cus unless you've come down here to New Mexico, and had a good Green Chile Cheeseburger, you really havent had a burger... just sayin.

try a 4x4 animal style next time. just the regular burgers are ok, but animal style is the way to go.

Agh yes the animal style is yummy :). Not as much a fan of animal style fries though. Saw a guy order a 12x12on day and he ate it :wtf:

So you can't eat any beef ever?!?!?! :poke:

I can eat beef just not in the portions I like. It is supposed to be a small portion but if I can't have a double whopper or a 24 oz porterhouse I'll just pass. A .59 hamburger ain't gonna satisfy the craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaving :)

there is no way I can go without beef. I get cranky very quickly. i have to eat in moderation though. seems that when you get older you aren't suppose to eat quite as much. hmmm when did that happen.

Gout is a condition that is from an acid build up. Redmeat is a contributer to this acid build up. As are many other foods, mushrooms, califlower, lentils, tomatoes, shell fish, and a host of others. Booze, beer, wine, hard stuff, it all contributes to the build up. Eating/drinking these foods cause a build up of the acid over time. The acid builds up in the joints (toes, heels, hands, elboes, knees, etc) the acid is crystal like. It causes inflamation in the joint.

The joint once inflamed is super sensitive to touch. The best example I can come up with to get my point across is, YOU DO NOT WANT A SHEET TOUCHING YOUR FOOT.

Think of dropping a cinder block on your foot. You get the instant pain, you get the pain that is there 30 seconds after the cinder brick made contact. It hurts, it throbs, it is constant pain. You can`t walk on your foot (knee guys, I am so sorry). You have to ebdure the pain to go potty, standing or sitting. It just hurts.

Then, if you have the wife unit, kids, dogs, and someone or something steps on or bumps into your foot it can be a crying pain. OHHHH, the big one, YOU bumping your toe or foot into the table, sofa, door, w-unit, crumbsnatchers, wall, shoe, :please:, get the point.

It ain`t fun. I ate lots and lots of ibufrofin, 800mg at a time, every four hours trying to relieve the pain.

blanca, don`t mention that on here. Damn man, I have not had a thick jucy med well with some fat for taste seasoned and grilled over an open flame with the juice running when cut pink inside tender 24 oz with a potatoe sour cream green onions and 3 to 4 Sierra Nevadas :beerchug::beerchug::beerchug::beerchug: to help wash down every bit every tid bit of that mouth watering goodness. The tang of bitterness of the Sierra Nevadas the cold liquid rolling down my throat and that burp after then calling for another and loving how the belly felt :banghead::banghead:

Oh, Oh, excuse me, I got carried away.

This is one artery cloggin, great tasting burger. Two Bacon grilled cheese sandwiches with a bacon burger between them.
