longest trip on your turbo bike???

ive went like 80 miles once no problems, i kept it pretty much out of boost besides once or twice. I personally think it is alittle loud to be cruising alot with i dont have a full exhaust just dumps.

This is a late reply. I seem to get around the 40mpg range just cruising at 80mph. Gas milage does not seem affected by turbo until you twist throttle. But just cruisig at a steedy pace with throttle meister locked mpg is good. As far as long times in saddle i always stretch a bit before a ride and stop right around every 140miles for gas that equals about every 2 hrs and stretch my legs a bit. I have done a 725 mile jaunt on an 05 gsxr 1000 and same on triumph 675 in 1 day in just shy of 12 hours. That was a bit much for these old bones as i woke up sore the next day.

from san diego CA to port orchard WA 1250 something miles 18 hours, only stopped for gas. second trip san diego, ca to yorktown, va. blew a tire in tennessee set me back 1/2 a day. never had a problem with the turbobusa....i think it's gonna give me long term effects down the road when i wanna have kids.???

My wife and I set up our 2007 Hayabusa specifically for touring. It has Corbin seats, Corbin Bags, Heli bars (up 1 7/8", swept in about 5 degrees), a J&M sound system w/ handsfree cell phone capability, Garmin GPS and an I -Pod with remote control for the I -pod on the left handle bar. We also have a throttle lock. The tank is covered with a Bagster sytem, allowing more storage that does not have to be removed to refuel. The bike has heated handgrips , underbody light kit and screens covering the fairing openings, including a full top to bottom front screen . All phones, I-pods and GPS have charging ports on the bike to keep them playing. We also have Sirius Stilleto Radio link. The exhaust has been powdered coated black, as have the pegs and rear sets. The stinger is the Hahn Stage 1 turbo, set at 7 lbs. Horsepower on 3 dynos have varied a little, from 207 to 215 rwhp. The exhaust is still stock using a a splitter built here in Tucson by Exhaust Works. The turbo is completely hidden under the slightly modified fairing and there is no exhaust signature at idle or low speed. We have over 20,000 miles on the bike, we've ridden multiple trips to Vegas and San Diego without issue. The boost gauge itself is "hidden" up next to the stock gauge panel and has same lighting color. We recently put a Speed-o-Healer on the bike , as radar and GPS showed the speedo off by -6.4%. We have done a 2-up GPS/radar verified run of 201 mph in California. And it tours great. It has shocked a few Gixxer riders who thought we'd basically destroyed a good bike with the addition of the bags. Still corners well, too. The Hahn turbo has handled the desert heat well. We don't "boost around" all the time, but it is fun for short blasts. MPG has averaged 41.2 since we've had the bike, running premium gas (91) from the pump.

Busa pilot. I love it, i get a kick out of guys when they see me on my busa touring, i am not as well equiped as you but i have soft bags, igloo soft cooler for a rear bag and a tank bag, the bars house a tom tom gps w/bluetooth for phone, plug in for heated clothing and a change holder for the toll way. People look at my touring bike and shake their heads. I love it running 8-9 lbs boost w/ hahn system 40mpg and enough power for any stock wheel base touring bike. My hat is off to you what a beautiful bike.

Thanks for the post. The turbo hidden on a "tour" bike sure does catch many off guard. We haven't seen any other 'Busas here in Arizona set up for touring ... most are stretched and painted pretty wild ..... got a pic ot two?
