I have truly been appauled by what I have seen with this widespread looting in N.O., Miss, and Alabama. I have tried to place myself in these peoples' shoes. I can honestly understand if you are displaced and are forced to fend for yourself for food and water. But when I saw people stealing tennis shoes and jewelry, I was floored. Then to make things worse, a policeman was shot by a looter, and some guys looted the whole gun supply from Walmart. It is truly sad that the dead floating around are probably innocent people who could not flee, when it really should be these fuggers trying to take advantage of a bad situation and making it worse. Once again if your are grabbing food and water to sustain life, have at it. Walmart even said people could take what they need.
Oh well, I apologize for the earful. i realize that living here in Houston, the only thing keeping us from being in their situation is the fact that the storm made a different turn. Also, I work for an insurance company so all of those grocery stores wil get new food items, as it does not matter if they get 6 inches of water of 6 feet, the USDA says it must go. So please take all the food and water you want. But shoes, guns, jewelry, and shooting at civil servants. These people need to be added to the growing list of casualties.
