Meet-n-greet 2 (2006)

Well, I'm bringing my girl up there Friday night and we're going to get a cabin. I doubt I'll go on the ride with you guys because I just got the bike 4 months ago and it's my first bike, plus I don't like going on long rides with someone on the back. So I'll just come meet you guys..hang out..drink a few beers and have breakfast and what not.

Don, see above...Call me when you get up there. I think Keith P. and his wife (from Bella Vista) will be coming, too.

I bought my bike in July.

My wife will not ride and will be "shopping" with a couple of other wives. This is my first time to meet eveyone so if you want to ride with some of us "non-knee draggers" that's where I'll be.

I want to say something here, especially for you relatively new guys (no offense).

The ride that we have planned has some of everything for every riding style and experience level. We have safety briefings planned (Active Duty military - We have a safety briefing for everything) so that everyone knows what is ahead.

There will be a local leading the ride and a local at the back of the pack.

YOU MUST RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People get hurt trying to ride beyond thier capabilities.

If you have never had the opportunity to participate in a coordinated group ride you should join us if you can. The experience is incredible and you will see some of the most beautiful scenery that our state has to offer.

Don't exclude yourself because of your experience level.

I called and spoke with Barbara at PointeWest and secured a room with a king bed (I have a hard time sleeping when my feet hang over the edge) instead of the one with the two twin beds. So there is another room available for anyone who needs it.
She also said that there might be another room available so anyone interested should just call up there and I'm sure you will be able to find something and if not I'm quite sure accomidations can be had in the existing rooms. I for one will be happy to let someone use my room if needed. Hopefully I will only be there to shower and sleep...
I am trying to get my magnalite pot from BR to cook some jambalaya for Saturday night. I am having some logistic issues getting everything together but am hopeful for a trip this week.
I am so looking forward to meeting everyone and riding with you.

I had to bring the bike back to New Orleans during a deluge on Sunday so it is pretty dirty right now. Hopefully I will get a chance to put everything together and clean her up before the trip.
I can't believe I'll be leaving day after tomorrow. I might have been a little ambitious about the jambalaya but will still try. I saw where everything on the list was spoken for and I would hate to show up with just hands and a$$.
