Meet-n-greet 2 (2006)

Since I don't know the area, I don't have much to say. The place in the link looks OK. Price range is fine.

Looks outstanding, I will make reservations tonight, after I make sure the wife can come.

I was just wondering how many will be riding 2 up?
My girlfriend wants to go with me. She loves to ride with me.
No one?

?
Will I be the only one?

There will be plenty of female-types there...My wife will probably be with me some of the time. I just rode last Sunday, as beautiful a day as one can imagine...cloudless, 74 degrees....even though my "honey do" list is a mile long, I just had to stay out that extra hour. Eureka was wall to wall bikes, every type you can imagine. Our group was 22, five busa's and even a brand spankin' new BMW K1200 busa killer. Beautiful bike but I smoked his a$$, busa killer my foot....took him on the outside in a 35mph turn, never looked back. The rider was cool, was the first to admitt the busa is faster. There are three girls that ride in our group, all with gsxr 750's...Eureka is amazing, lots of outdoor cafes, live music everywhere, and shopping for dazes!! The campgrounds will be some of the niceist you've ever stayed in, most have shower facilities, etc. September is wild flower month, you will not believe the colors, it's sensory overload in the ozarks!

Great.
A buddy and I are planning to ride down to Eureka for a day.
My buddy wants to ride down and have lunch and ride back one day.
Just waiting on him to make is mind up when he wants to go.

If everyone is happy with the choice of Hotel and price I suggest we start making some reservations.... Going to try and call today and do just that!

Just to make sure. Staying at Point West on Sept 15 and 16. Do we need to do anything special when making the reservations to get the discount?

hey ! heard back from Barb at pointe West. She can give us a 10% discount on rooms which amounts to $7.50 off of the $75.00 normal rate. Rooms are available. I have stayed there many times in the past and feel that it is a good and hopefully safe spot to park our babies. the army corps. campground is about 1 mile from the motel. There are actually two areas too camp, dam site is reservable "below the dam" and Island"above the dam is non reservable but should have vacancies that time of year. The island campground is by far nicer, and has water access on beaver lake. I stay there 3-4 times every year.Electric on all sites, and water available.
Not sure of the details, but I'm guessing just let them know your with the Haybusa.org group...

Tell them you are from the org. motorcycle rally. Ask for the discount. I have stayed there a bunch and dont think there should be any problems. generally not very busy that time of year anyway. If anyone has a problem with getting the discount pm me, Ill be glad to help.. Proximity to campground is sweet with this location for those who want to camp..

My buddie owns a ST1300.  The ST Owners is having a bash in Eureka Spings 9/8-9/11.  We are going to ride down for the ST event and stay on for the meet and greet.  Any suggestions on what to do for a week around there?  Or would we be better off taking three days and traveling somewhere else in between?

BW, trust me, there is more to do in the Eureka Springs area then a guy could do in two weeks. Let alone the fantasic rides, there is boating on Beaver, floating the buffalo, the passion play, civil war memorials, etc....It will take a few days just to get through the shops in the town of Eureka. They do outdoor movies, tons of live music, the nightlife is kind of like Branson only a younger crowd.....

Ride! You'll love it! Wife and I are heading there next week for a few days. We try to go 2 times a year.

I went to Eureka Springs Friday and stopped at the Hotel and Talked with the owner that happen to be down for the weekend.Owner said she would make a note of the Hayabusa, org for those dates and we can have a 10% discount. They said we need to start booking the rooms now as in the fall it will get busy and she said no one had booked a room as of yet.I had a great time riding down and walking around. Got a bite to eat and headed back.
Looking forward to meeting all of you.
