Mickey Thompson 2 (Shootout Tire) - WARNING!!!

I dont mean to rub salt into a wound BUT........... I remember posting WARNING people NOT to do this that the tire WILL blister on the road. OH WELL I got to say it anyway ----I TOLD YOU SO.

GLAD YOU DIDNT GET HURT.

Doug

I worked on mine tonight at the track and My et's are dropping real well each time out now. I've got My suspenion now set to where I'm carry the front wheel about 6" off the ground through most of 1st gear. I also have My friends Busa(red/slv) with stock motor that has a arm like mine doing the same thing.
He's getting 1.46 to 1.50 short times with the STOCK TIRE!
I'm still have trouble with My clutch. I need to put more spacing in My lockup to take spring tenion out. Right now it has so much clutch it's like running with the stock one again.(grabbing, hard to finess)

Almost got in the 8's tonight.(very close)

Thanks daddy long stroke for your opinion on the mickey MCR (not the mcr2)I will have mine tomorrow, and many other user of the tire said it is an awesome tire, and what air pressure would you recommend to be put and the tire for the street, and track.

I run 22 psi for street and track...i think gsxrboy ran ?18 psi? when he was using mcr tire?
his 60 fts. are better than mine, and he weighs more than me so youll have to test with it. 18-20 will probably work best for track....
i dont raise pressure for street, because i dont street ride much. when i do, i put it up to 45 psi...

Underdog - I heard mixed opinions on running the tire on the street so I decided to try it. I ran my first tire on the street/strip for a little over 1000 miles and it worked great. Never blistered or had any problems what so ever. Hence the fact this is a DOT approved street tire!

Same here but I run more air on the street and lower it about a block before where the meet so not to look stupid.
Man I love this tire thank you NLR

for the guys wondering about the mickey MCR (not the mcr2), it is an awesome tire with great wear and great heat retension...i have seen a stock length busa 1.49 60 ft. with one, and he says he has 1.48.... I love it over the stock tire...never tried the shinko..
