The opportunity has presented itself to make a ride from Texas to Colorado around July 12th and the following week.

PBGhost, Possibly Semi, and myself are looking into meeting and riding to Colorado.

Anyone else want to make this ride? Should be a blast and a great experience.

Post up if you want to go.

I would love to, but I will be out of vacation!

How long is the trip? I might could do a 3 or 4 day if the weekend was included.

PBGhost and I are contemplating a ride to Colorado. He is off the July 12th-23rd. I can prolly take a week off also. Semi is also thinking about joining us if he can...he is off the 15-22nd. I know Durango is a 18 hour drive from Waco, I have driven it a few times.

If this materializes we can get a plan together and iron out the actual ride dates. More than likely they will be mid week based on ride time to get there and deadline to get back home for me.

durango is part of the trip... the san juan skyway is beautiful, about a 6 hour scenic loop, there's also the elk loop that is in gunnison's black canyon that looked amazing (never been to that one... internet pics), then across to estes park area... once again...never been, but net pics looks awesome, down to colorado springs (pikes peak, anybody?) and back to texas. just thoughts... any ideas are welcome to make this trip... wait for it..........EPIC!

If you guys come through Wichita Falls, let me know so we can do lunch or something!

my schedule changed a little because of an inventory date change at work

...i can't leave Alton until late afternoon on Wed. the 16th...i don't have to be back until the morning of the 23rd but that may not work with your schedules...keep me in the loop of what you are going to do and i may be able to meet you later if you take off earlier in the week

semi, when it gets closer and we can concentrate on the route more, maybe you can meet us at one of the stops.

I have a house in Pagosa Springs (Wolf Creek Pass area)....your ideas re: your route are right on! Don't forget to go N/B out of Durango through Ouray, it's motorcycling at its best! Also, Black Canyon is a must...doesn't get better.

Man, that ride sounds like a blast but I owe my mom in California a visit and my vac time is tight this year. I'm going to see if I can juggle some things around

Hope it works out with your vacation...would love to ride with you in Colorado also.

I think this ride will have some beautiful scenery.

I have only been to Co. in the summer 1 time and it was in a car...looking forward to riding it.
