Cant wait.

Need to start finalizing plan in a couple of weeks. I will be in Port Aransas the week before we go, so I will be out of pocket until the Tuesday before we leave.

How many nights camping, or in a motel, finalize the route for trip planning.

Did a bunch of maintenance on the bike this weekend in prep for the trip.

cool deal! talked with my dad (in Durango) last night and told him we would be in the area. he said we have a place to stay if we want, and he would grill us some steaks too. we were welcome to stay in the guest house or camp out on the property across the river. all he needs to know is how many to expect...so ...whatcha think? are we going to camp a few nights? weather permitting, that would be pretty cool. who all's going and where did ya'll want to meet?

I bought a small bivy the other day. If the weather is cool I would like to camp out a couple of nights. Just to experience it while on the bike, but I am also a creature of comfort so we will need to stay in a room a few nights also.

I know you had mentioned earlier in the post about a ride in DFW before we head out...but I would prefer to be rested before I head out.

Let me know what day you want to hit the road (Saturday or Sunday), either is fine with me. I can meet up with you where I-35 meets 75 or 81 north of Denton.

I have my bike part waiting on a shock, but at this point I think I will put it back together for some test runs on my new tires and pads. I am very busy with work right now and will be out of town half of next week and all that weekend.

I will pm you my cell number to call me for anything.

Can you guys post up the day & date & location of where you will be? I want to join for the SW corner part of the trip and its a little hard to follow what Saturday or day exactly your talking about. Or where you will be so I might be able to join up at a certain point. I will be coming from Las Vegas.

we should be in Durango this Sunday, the 13th. thinking about homebasing at my grandparents place there sun/mon nite to keep costs down.youre more than welcome, just let me know so I can tell my dad, he's cooking for us. we're taking the scenic route from Wags up through Taos then over to Durango, getting there mid / late Sunday noon. weather permitting, camp out Sunday (if weather sucks, they have a guesthouse, which we'll use to freshen up before Mondays ride. Monday doing the SanJuan skyway through Silverton, Ouray, Telluride (about 6 hrs ride time) stay @ the ranch again, Tuesday morning head to Gunnison (black canyon) Leadville, where ever, just play by ear. would like to ride the peak to peak highway in Estes Park. finally winding down to Colorado Springs and out the southeast corner (Trinidad / Raton pass) can't wait

If yall make it to northern parts of oklahoma somehow im in the woodward area, give me a shout, be glad to take a spin and get some dinner or soemthing. Wont be able to make the trip tho, on a 48/96 schedule at work.

on our return trip, we'll stay on 40 to Okc and then south on 35, we won't go that far north.

anyone interested in meeting up, guestimating we'll be in the southwest part of colorado (durango) sun/mon, central(gunnison/leadville) tues/ wed, east central (denver/ colo springs) thur/ fri. once we get there, schedule depends on the sites and weather.

Don't forget to go N/B out of Durango through Ouray, it's motorcycling at its best! Also, Black Canyon is a must...doesn't get better.
