As promised I am updating you on the ZX-12 I have been Dyno testing. It now has 500 km's
(300 miles) on it. The customer supplied some V.P. 112 octane fuel on Saturday and it was not as good as Shell pump 92 octane premium.
At any rate, the bike is now showing 174 H.P. with 91 ftlb of torque. The Busa still has better 2-4 thou. rpm numbers but from there the 12 takes off. I experimented with Ramming some air into the front profile of the bike(shoving air directly into the air box has never worked for me on any bike), and it gained 7 H.P. from 8000 to redline.
I have sent a black box to F.I.M. in Auzzie land for testing and tweaking. It will take a couple of weeks to get it back and they always improve things.
Just to touch on the subject of dealers test riding bikes, it is Ontario Law that all vehicles be tested prior to delivery to ensure safe operation of all components.
All of our bikes we at Brampton Cycle get delivered with 7 kms on them. In fact BMW bikes come from the crate with the odometer rolled back on them for just such reason. I won't name the manufacturers, but the warranty would be void if the customer insists on no test ride.
Don't be so anal people, if you don't trust your dealer, find one you can.
