Anyone know if there is an undertail that retains the "stock" taillight. I think the stock light assembly is looks good.

okay.. to clarify LENSES and LEDs...
BRAKE LENS:
for the Brake Lense: it will be default Clear.. but you can request Red.. (this is not in stock, and will require additional 4 to 6 weeks but will their will not be addtional charge)
if you do not specify color: you will get Clear Brake Lens
TURN SIGNAL LENS:
default will be also clear. if you look at the big image on the first page, you will see the default undertail with clear lenses for both brake and turn signals.. You may request Amber lenses.. again. these are not in stock and will require 4 to 6 weeks.. and again there is no fee for this color..
if you do not specify color for turn signal: you will get clear.
Yes you can mix and match.. for example clear brakes lense. and amber turn signal or any way you want.. just keep in mind.. Clear is stock..
ALSO.. the clear lenses will make the LEDs appear brighter in color.. so if you get the RED or amber lenses.. the trap some of the light.

okay. here is a little info about the LEDs.
they are 5 times more durable.. and last 5 times longer than the stock lights. and Mototeck warranties them for the first year.. free replacement if they burn out.
Number of LEDs:
BRAKES: 2 independent set of 12 LEDS, colored RED when lit up. independent means if one side burns out, other still works.. but YES if one LED goes out.. the other 11 will no longer work.. AGAIN.. vendor has assured me LEDs are very reliable and will be replaced 1st year free.
Turn Signal LEDs:
2 independent sets of 6 LEDs.. same idea as above.. light up to amber..
LICENSE PLATE LED: 1 led.. molded into the tail light.. i dont think this will be movable.. designed to light on the license plate if you mount it on the undertail.. if you dont mount it the license plate here (maybe swingarm mount).. you can disconnect the wire. .It lights up Fruitlucious color..
just kidding.. it lights up white.
so these will look cool with the clear lenses.. but you can opt for the color lenses.
YES you can always upgrade to the 48 LED set later.. fits right into this one.. the 48 LED is not as common (easy to obtain as the 12 LED locally.. but you can find it online)
So keep in mind if you go with the clear lenses.. you will be plenty bright.. if its not bright enough for you, you can upgrade later. or you can buy it directly upgraded for $299 individual/ $279 10 or more.. and it is 4 to 6 weeks delivery.
personally.. i am going with 2002 Black, stainless steel, and clear lenses.
look forward to completing this order and everyone enjoying their undertail set.. you can read the install instructions.. see what tools you might need. (maybe borrow a dremel)
