Muffler mod ..........can you see the diff? And I would like the expert opinion.

WHAT ALL DID YOU LOOSEN TO MOVE THE CAN?

Nothing, just take your can pull the mounting bolt out and put the can bracket on the back side of the rear peg mount...moving it from one side to the other. I could not believe how easy it was and that I didn't think of this.

Total mod time 15 minutes
Cost: $0.00
Cool factor: 5
Having Org friends show you: Priceless!

gonna do it today:thumbsup:thanks

Hi guys,
I had a little longer on my bike, I loosened the four clamp bolts (2 on each side) and then had to grind the hanger slot approx .5" toward the front.
This wasn't easy as I did not have the proper grinding tools.

You may want to hold off on this mod until I get a few thousand on them. So far no issues at 200 miles, and some hard running. I do not think I will have an issue except when it comes to maintaining the chain and cleaning.

Anyway I will continue to test this and get back with you.

Looked at it when I got home and seems like it'll offset the pipes to much. Looks like you're moving them about an inch. Keep a close eye on them guys.

Never thought of this but really cool, i through the stock pipes in the trash, the worst thing i've seen ever, i have Yosh R-77 and just about to order Brocks dual 2CTs

Looks good!! Good Job....Now i hate the stock cans even if they werent there! anyone need a pair?????:poke::thumbsup:

I don't follow what was ground down and why.....can you post pics or elaborate?

i believe he means the hole does not line up from the can w/ the hanger. i bored the hole out a little more so the bolt slides through better from the hanger. if you take your exhaust and place it behind the hanger and look through the hole, you will see that it does not line up evenly.

Really does look better. You have any pics of both conditions (original and modified) from different angles?

Sorry not on this computer.

I must reiterate that I want to test this mod more before you do it.
So far, after 500 miles, so good. But I would like to put more on it.
