There were several little things that were a MUST DO to the Gen 1s, change the oil in the steering dampner, kick stand etc....

Are there any for the Gen 2s and what are they?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I started with Pazzo levers I already had, corbin seats with backrest for Juli from Rollin20z, droid mount I made myself, puig windscreen is ordered, new tag light ordered, brake light stobe, and will be getting exhaust, alarm, roadlok, autocom, and installing a cruise control I already had. So I think I am off to a good start. I thought about HID, but autoillumiation has some really cool led bulbs that are supposed to be much brighter than stock. I want to try one.

After market full exhaust to add power and performance and reduce about 35 pounds.

If you ride a lot at night HIDs. The Gen II lights are much improved but still lacking to an extent. I don't ride that much at night and with all the issues surrounding HID application, mine stays stock.

Othern than the HID's, haven't done it myself. I think the only must-do is brake improvement whether its with braided lines, upgraded pads, discs, or new MC. All the rest are niceties. Oh wait, a new seat seems to be a must if your are gonna do any longer rides and the buell peg mod if you are taller.

The first thing I did was a Big Bore,and pipe.Made a fast bike a little faster.:beerchug:

First thing that must be changed is the screen...it's so low you can't see the gauges...mine is a Puig, but each to their own.

Second is the exhaust. I like the symmetry of two pipes and there was no 4 into 1 into 2 full system when I got my bike so I just have slipons. I may go to the V&H header soon so I can get rid of the catalytic converter though.

Next are the levers. Mine are Pazzo, but again it's all preference.

I find the brakes are just fine, but I don't race the bike and I live in north Texas where the road surfaces are for crap, so I don't do much in the twisties.

Oh, and lose the rear fender...quite possibly the ugliest bloody thing ever put on a bike!

The first MUST DO MOD is to paint all the WHITE Gen II's BLACK and ORANGE!!

Keep North America Beautiful!!

I dont think there are any "must do's" with the gen2... A lot of bikes you MUST lock-tite this, lock-tite that, replace this, add a case saver (dirtbikes), etc etc... But the Gen 2 is all great stock. Now if you want to upgrade and make certain aspects better, there are endless options. But everything is fine stock.

Clean it with pledge is a must do  Some guys have notched the kick stand to keep it from rolling forward and falling. I have not had any issues with mine but I am careful.

first thing i did, and will always do, shed a few pounds with exhaust, also cause i like to be heard when im only on two wheels, and tag bracket in same day, after that its all just because i felt like it. but the pipes and fender a must:thumbsup:

also i Agree the rear fender has to go.. exhaust I also agree.. Im buying a Turbo next year so I kept the stock and cut 10" outta it for a better look

Hids
4into1 for weight savings.
Powder coat pegs to match frame.
Afm levers for better control and comfort.
Remove rear fender and replace with https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/gen-...t-fender-eliminator-tag-bracket-tutorial.html
replace factory brake pads with some higher quality better stoppers as well as braided steel lines.
Unleash the beast thru some sort of tune either thru ecu or pwr cmndr.

I hear China has some good deals on a few of those mods listed
