My 05 Has Problems

Bought the bike 2.5 weeks ago. Have already had to replace the head gaskets ( leaking oil onto exhaust pipes ) heli coil the fairing bolt into the frame and I just got on the scoot to take a quick ride and the ignition shorted out. Seems the Positive battery cable end grounded against the frame. The battery is in the freezer cooling down now. It was almost too hot to carry. Are these problems common for a bike with 400 miles on it?
Secondly...where can I get a service manual for this? The dealership doesn't seem to know.

nice try but you are full of it.
no oil goes through the head so you cannot have a headgasket leak of oil

Can you say Lemon Law. If your already having this many problems I would look in to getting a different one. Either that make them give you a extended warrenty.

I am absolutely stumped that someone would join a site just to post something like that.

Wow. Glad to see there are so many knowledgeable people out there. Yes it is an 05. Yes I purchased it on 11/16/04 VIN # JS1 71A6521 848. It is blue and Silver. Apparently there IS oil going through the heads because they replaced cylinder head gaskets part #'s 11173-24f00,11178-33e00. If you want the fairing screw # it is 09139-06087. The battery was grounding out on the frame because the idiot that assembled the bike put the wires to the side rather than the top. As for signing up to this board to spoof someone, I did not. I have a real problem and was looking for help. You guys can kiss my happy white...

Carfax shows that VIN as invalid. Maybe they don't recognize bike vin's.

So why isn't the dealer taking care of these issues under warrenty, and why would you have to ask if this is common with a new bike when it's obliviously they are not?

If you did have those sorts of problems then I would have tried swapping bikes...If your legit you will get help here...

I just got my new replacement for my 02 Busa that got rearended ... An 04 Busa ! And I tell you what , If I had that many problems with my new bike , i'd tell the dealer to give me another new one or i'd see a lawyer ! Someone had to be smoking crack when they put that one together !

look real close at the rad fan. you see the hose going from the case to the head???
there is your oil!!!
the oil oil that could even thing about leaking is on the cam tunnel but no pressure there and it would not be even close to the exhaust.

Tell you what you want help post the warranty ticket

Hmm..J.C. could it be the valve cover gasket ? Not every one is a Motorhead ---head gasket ,valve cover gasket- same not same - same. Lets hear him out---- If you are for real--a Welcome to board..PaceM

he should have had 1-11173 and 4-11178
those are for the Valve cover and the 4 sparkplug O-rings and yes not a head gasket but a Valve cover gasket.
That is why I wanted to see the warranty repair order, The point I am making is his white happy ...... can't get his facts straight
